The plan was supposed to be a romantic picnic up on the mountain. Joy was going to ask her Mommy to go on a hike, and I was going to ask my Daddy, and we were going to meet at the top and have snacks.
I didn’t know that Blue Rocks was a dangerous place. I had just heard that it was an easy trail with a pretty view that human tourists liked to visit.
I felt really bad that I had sent Joy and her mommy up a mountain where there were dangerous rogues on the loose.
Thankfully, my dad agreed to go make sure they were okay. I didn’t even want to think about what would have happened to Joy’s mommy if Daddy hadn’t caught the rogue’s scent on the trail and shifted before we reached the summit.
