Theia I huddled in the corner of the cement cell. My hands and feet were both chained tightly to the wall. There was a mix of dried and fresh blood from the chains that were digging into my wrists and ankles, and the slightest movement stung. My head was pounding, my body hurt everywhere, and I felt exhausted. I had no idea how long I had been here or when the last time I had eaten was. There was a thin sorry excuse for a mattress on one side that looked like it had been there since the dawn of time, and a hole in the floor, which was a substitute for a toilet. My face was puffy from the crying and I felt emotionally, mentally and physically drained. The door to the cell opened, and I saw two people walk in. I couldn’t see detail as the light was behind them, so they were just shadows.
