Today was the day of the dinner. Cassie was off and had woken up early anxious to start. She could hardly sleep the night before worried she would mess up. The time she finally fell asleep she dreamt she had started a fire and they all got burnt. Almost made her cancel everything.
Lucky for her Jake had a busy day at work only coming for so she could prepare her surprise in peace. He was under the impression that she was going to just order takeaways from a close restaurant and serve that.
