"Oh, I didn't make a grave mistake. I came here to rescue my friend." Kael retorted before turning around to face Chase. Chase let out a peal of hysterical laughter. The rumbling of his laughter upset Kael to the core but he maintained his poise and said nothing. After Chase's laughter died down, his face contorted into a scowl. "Like I said...you made a terrible mistake coming here." Kael squared his shoulders ready for whatever it is to come. Meanwhile, Chase strutted deeper into the cellar, holding a whip. "For starters, I don't intend to let Drayton go. I have nothing against you, Kael. So I'm allowing you to leave here and never show your face again." Chase offered. Although the offer seemed fair, Kael didn't intend to accept it. "And why are you letting me go?" Kael demanded
