THE FIERCE LUNA

Mate!

'Dam the first two were easy but this last one is something else!' Danni roared as she was slung against the trunk of a large tree. 'This guy is quick, luckily I'm quicker!' as she dived out of the way from the rogue running at her to pin her against the tree he had just thrown her too.

She dived onto his back and grabbed his neck with her sharp teeth piercing threw it. He roared with agony but managed to throw her off before she could kill him.

'Come on Danni! Get rid of this guy Meg will be worried I don't want her turning back!' Ellie screeched to her wolf.

'I'm doing the best I can! I don't want Meg and Lizzie on their own any longer than necessary!' she angerly replied.

The rogue came charging at her again and managed to knock her off balance as she spun back to her feet, she saw him get knocked to the ground by a grey wolf she had never seen before. Within seconds the rogue was dead.

That wasn't what shocked her the most. His scent was heavenly to her, orange, cedarwood and a tint of ash, she had never smelt anything like it. She knew instantly that she was going to spend the rest of her life with this wolf.

As he stood back and turned to look at her, his eyes glistened the most magnificent green she had ever seen. Danni and his wolf both instantly shouted. "Mate!" Ellie couldn't stop starring at him as he came closes to her, taking in his muscular grey wolf.

"Hello there mate, my name is Sam, my human is John, he is the Gammar of the Red Moon Pack. We found your sister Meg she is safe with our Luna." Ellie took back control of her wolf at the mention of Meg.

"Can you take me to her please?" she asked Sam, his eyes changed to brown, she could tell Gammar John was back in control of his wolf too.

"Of course! Then can we talk? We are mates and our wolves have connected. I really would like to get to know you ... Ellie ... isn't it?" His voice was so intensifying she felt herself wanting to hear it more.

"Yes, please I need to see her, I need to find the rest of my family too, I've tried contacting them, but no one is answering!" Panick kicked in but his look alone kept her stable.

"Let's go back to our packlands and you can see Meg. Then we will go to your family Ellie." Alpha Charles stated as he stood behind Gammar John. Ellie had noticed other wolves but hadn't managed to take her eyes of her mate yet. She nods in agreement and follows them back, with Gammar John at her side the whole run catching glances of each other.

'I can smell their territory Ellie; we will be with Meg and Lizzie soon" Danni gleefully commented as they passed into Red Moon territory. A few minutes later they come to the edge of the forest close to a clearing of houses, the largest of which stood at the front, there was no mistaking this house was a pack house, everyone around her stopped.

"Ellie, wait here I will get you some clothes." Gammar John ran behind a tree a few feet away. He came back in his human form with shorts and a t-shirt in his hand. "These are about your size, we will wait in the clearing."

Ellie quickly changed she wanted to study her mate more, but the rush to make sure her family were safe and Meg was ok was too much at the forefront of her mind.

"Ellie!" Meg came running down the steps of the large house as the group of them approached and threw herself in her sisters' arms. Tears running down her face and shaking but looking unhurt, grateful for the care the pack took of her sister Ellie looked at the lady at the top of the steps. A lady she knew from her birthday party, Luna Hollie, Alpha Charles wife.

"Thank you for taking care of Meg Luna Hollie." Ellie bowed her head to the elegant lady now making her way down the steps.

"It is my pleasure Ellie." She looked at Meg still gripping to Ellie and crying. "Meg, you are safe here, no one is going to hurt you or your sister. Ellie, please tell me what has happened is Luna Walder and the rest of the pack ok?" Luna Hollie and Ellie's mum Walder really enjoyed each other's company and make regular calls to each other ever since Ellie's 18th birthday party. Even though they only live a small distance apart they rarely get to meet up. Ellie recalled her mum went on a shopping trip to the local human city with Luna Hollie and some of the older she-wolfs of each pack a couple of times since the party.

"I don't know Luna Hollie, I haven't been able to reach any of them. I will try again now I know Meg is ok." Ellies eyes glazed over and everyone waited anxiously for her response. Alpha Charles was at his Luna's side holding her as he could sense her fear that something may have happened to her friend.

"I still can't connect with any of them! Alpha Charles, I'm sorry to ask but can I please borrow a car or a motorbike to get back there quicker? And would you mind caring for Meg whilst I'm gone? There was a large group of rogues and I don't want Meg to be there if they are still in the area until I know that she will be safe." She knew she was asking a lot for another pack to care for someone else's child, but also knew Alpha Charles and Luna Hollie were good people.

"Of course Ellie, but I will be coming with you and we will take Gammar John and some of our men with us, we don't know what we are going to find." Ellie nodded. Charles looked at John and smiled knowing that there was no way he would let alone, especially his mate go anywhere near a rogue attack without him. 'Thank you' John linked to Charles 'I hope her family are ok'.

"Ellie don't go dad told you to look after me!" Meg cried pleadingly "You have to stay with me until dad comes to us!"

"Meg, Luna Hollie is going to look after you. You know you are safe here, but dad and mum they need me to go back there's something stopping them from replying to me. They could be in danger." Ellie stepped back nodded at Luna Hollie who stepped forward and held Meg in her arms as they watched the vehicles pull out of the driveway, she guided Meg back into the house to calm her down.
