Taming Tate Gray

Chapter Two

Carson

"Do my ears deceive me? Bad Ass Tate Gray likes me?" A sly smirk crosses my face. She has to be screwing with me, she's wanted nothing to do with me for as long as I can remember. Staring at her face and it's anxious emotions, she's not messing around at all. Holly s**t!

I've told Gabe a few times before my feelings for his sister. He's flat out told me if I can ever break down her walls and get through that thick skull of hers, for me to go for it.

"Ok, ok. No questions asked." I notice the slight hitch in her breath. She's staring at my lips. Without thought or hesitation I pull her close and meld my lips with her's.

You know when the kiss with the right person sets a burning desire throughout your body; one that you know you will never get bored of. That's the kind of kiss we share. I could feel the innocence of the action coming from her.

Tate has been in relationships before, but her lips are fumbling over themselves. I couldn't have been her first kiss, right? I never meet any of her ex's, but she told me about one or two of them before. She knew of course if I had the chance to meet them that I'd never let her continue the relationship. Let's just say, Tate attracted the asshole kind.

"Wait so you like me too?" Tate gasps once we part from our kiss.

"Of course I do. It wasn't your brother who requested me to be your tour guide, or the one who came up with all the ideas to help you have a better life. Ha, not to say Gabe didn't have some good ideas."

"But I'm not even worth the trouble. All I cause is trouble... and I'm just Gabe's little sister. Why would you even consider me?" I can tell she has fear in her at the thought that this is all just a cruel joke.

How can I make her see that I have real feelings for her.

I'm aghast with myself for not showing my feelings better, I'm just more of a conserved kind of person when it comes to sharing my intimate feelings.

"Tate Harper Gray, you don't even know how special you are. Trouble may have a way of finding you, but you at your core are an incredible person. You at your 5'2" 110 lbs are the epitome of spunk and fierceness. With your long red hair, freckled face and hazel eyes, is who 8 year old Carson started dreaming about. Hell if it weren't for Gabe I would have beaten the s**t out of your dad and other brothers, but Gabe knew that they'd all blame you for it. And yes you are Gabe's little sister, but you are your own person too." As I finish my argument with her, Tate crashes into my body. Instinctively I wrap my arms around her. I don't know how long we stand there for, but there is no one in the school to bother us.

Tate

As Carson wraps an arm around my waist, I feel giddy and just want to kiss him again. With my anxious nerves I'm not quite sure about how to go about kissing him again. Just do it stupid, he just professed his feelings for you and what? you think he doesn't want you to be kissing him? Stop being a p***y. My conscious blatantly throws at me. Fine you know what, f**k it.

Facing Carson, I pull his face down to meet mine and before I can chicken out I mesh my lips with him. Almost like expecting me to do this, he doesn't miss a beat and kisses me back with as much force.

"You know what, I like kissing you." Carson huskily laughs.

His comment makes my cheeks burn with both embarrassment and desire.

"Well good, cause you're gonna have to get used to it. Because you wont see it coming and then bam surprise kiss!"

"Ok, you're on, because that won't be a one way street. But for me to make that kind of commitment you have to be my girlfriend." He wiggles his eyebrows at me and puts me on cloud nine.

"Hmmmm... let me think about that."

"What's there to think about!?"

"Absolutely nothing, I just wanted to see your reaction. Which by the way was priceless. Carson, Of course I'll be your girlfriend, but we will be monogamist, because I don't like to share what's mine."

"Looks like we have an understanding, cause I definitely don't share what's mine either."
