Prologue Tate We grew up together. Still are, but we treat each other differently; more important like. Almost as if more than friends. My name is Tate, I'm a freshman in high school and the most invisible person in the world. I have four brothers that are all older than me... how could I possibly make my imprint on the world with them in the spotlight. To my dad I am the bad child; so no to the daddy's little girl theory. My brothers from Chad the eldest, Jared, Brock and then at the youngest, Gabe, who is two years older than me. Gabe has always been my family; the rest wanted nothing to do with me, including my dad. Gabe has gotten me through everything since my mom passed away from lung cancer. He always tried to get me to hang out with him and his friends. I went with him once or twice, but then got myself into the trouble scene and strayed. I have been in and out of juvie since the summer after my 5th grade year. From kicking the s**t out of a girl who pissed me off to hot wiring and taking a car for a joy ride, but still Gabe has had faith in me. He even got me into professional boxing to help me let out my anger and negative emotions. It's saved me from straying again... Keeping myself grounded and steady. Boxing has been my life for the past two years. Now one of Gabe's best friends is one of this story's main characters. The boy I grew up with, but never understood until my freshman year of high school. His name is Carson Beau Deigh; and he has the most beautiful chocolate brown eyes I've ever seen.
