Echthes to Vrady

Hebe walked with Gaia towards the great entrance. As they reached the end of the corridor, outside the gates they discovered Ganymede sitting on the little staircase, in great distress. Gaia squatted down near Ganymede and caressed his head. “Poor child, was it his fault Hebe?” Ganymede got conscious and sat up straight “My apologies, if it's not the great goddess of the earth, Gaia and the great goddess of eternal youth, Hebe. I extend my heartfelt gratitude.” Ganymede bowed his head in respect. Hebe sat down near Ganymede too. “Ganymede, will thou let us know the real anecdote of the events tonight?” “Yes. I must” Ganymede took a deep distant sigh. “I hadst been abducted by the great Zeus himself this very morning. And good lord, was he lovesick from Aphrodite’s potion.” Gaia was listening to every word Ganymede delivered very closely. Ganymede went on explaining the series of event in great detail, as if he had found a tumbler for the water he carried. After he was finished venting, Gaia started animatedly “Ganymede I feel sympathies but thou art fool for letting yourself into the Avli ton Theons yourself. The great judges were in a position of checkmate to redeem right to you. Afterall, the Graces have been placed at the apex to court crimes for heinous acts of men. Thou were at great disadvantage.” Ganymede put his head into his palms. “Do not get into distress my child. Thou will rather find the humans a mysterious creature. Unpredictable !!” “To your console I offer thou some of my elixir which you can take with yourself to the earth.” Hebe offered her elixir to Ganymede. “My gratitude but it is just a matter of 81 years great Hebe…” “I shall warn you as I must….81 Gaia years are aggregate life expectancy of Humans.” “Humans live not very long as I observe!” Ganymede was astonished. “Yes son, you must accept the elixir. It ought to solve your age problems. And also, keep in account that humans are not used to watching people stay youthful decades later. Be sure to keep changing your live abouts.”  Ganymede accepted the elixir and thanked the goddesses. The goddesses left Ganymede where they discovered him. Meanwhile Peitho was sobbing in her bath, in her little mansion. “Darn you Ganymede. How dare you. You lowlife! You can never make me fall for you. NOT EVEN IN HUMAN AVATAR!!” Peitho screamed and smashed the huge mirror facing her bath. Peitho climbed up her bath on to the floor, the glass pieces sliced her feet as she walked over them. Four steps later she fell on the ground and wept bitterly. “I am the goddess of seduction. I AM PEITHO! Everyone seeks Aphrodite as if she is the only beauty in the entire universe!! Acknowledge me you fool! Look at me, am I no comparison to her!! O how I wish Hera did not tell me how desperately Ganymede wanted to see Aphrodite and not me. THE NERVE OF THAT LOWLIFE! HE CAME HERE TO THE COURT JUST TO SEE APHRODITE!” Peitho went into the flash back of the conversation she had exchanged with Hera earlier that afternoon. “Did you hear Peitho?” Peitho was suckling on a grape fed by a nymph she had seduced. “Oh yes I did! How Aphrodite slithered to Gaia realm to see his weakling of a lover, Adonis. Huh, pity. What a pity.” “Not that…Ganymede, have you heard of him?” “Oh yes, the most beautiful man I have ever laid my eyes upon. I lost my chance to seduce him Hera. I got upset and took this nymph for his substitute instead.” Hera rolled her eyes. She hated Ganymede with the core of her heart. “Yes, that very Ganymede. He said he wanted me to take him to Aphrodite in the Court of the goddesses and also that he does not fear the dire consequences for seeing her in the very court.” Peitho slapped the nymph “GET LOST ON MY SIGHT AT ONCE!” the spell on the nymph broke and he fled the mansion of Peitho. “Oh, I plan to make sure he very much fears the dire consequences for seeing Aphrodite in the very court.” Peitho gritted her teeth. Peitho picked up a big piece from the shattered glass lying in front of her. “I will not fall for Ganymede. And I must remember this after I have resurrected my body into that of a human.” Peitho turned her arm to reach her back and made a deep cut on her skin. She threw the glass in agony and passed out crying. Ganymede still remained where he had been. Wondering if he should burn his face to shift the fate that he had been suffering for its beauty when Aphrodite happen to be passing by Ganymede, returning back to Poseidon from the court. “What a beautiful face. Does not look good hanging down in the beautiful moonlight.” Aphrodite moved the clouds away from the moon with her powers. “Ah, I heard I was the cause for all this chaos today. What an affair! I did not even know that I was playing the culprit in this act.  Anyways, now I am here. Tell me, what is it that made you so anxious to meet me? Love, perhaps?” Aphrodite chuckled naughtily. “Yes, thou guessed it correct. It was a matter of love. The love you seeded in great Zeus’ heart for me.” Aphrodite put a finger on Ganymede’s lips. “I did not do anything like that.” They both fell silent. Aphrodite sighed. “I see, maybe when Poseidon and I were throwing love darts in playful manner, many had escaped. Perhaps, one of them flew away and hit Zeus. I apologise to you Ganymede. My intentions were not to agonize you.” Aphrodite leaned in to kiss Ganymede. She grasped his head with both her hands and kissed Ganymede passionately. Ganymede struggled to free himself from her grasp. “Ah stop Aphrodite. This is not how I look forward at you. Thou art a goddess! This is not…. Wait, I do not feel despair anymore!!” “What a shame Ganymede!! Did thou thinkst so low of me?!?!?” “No…I did not…” “Ah, well, not that I minded that one.” Aphrodite winked at Ganymede and disappeared into thin air. Ganymede picked himself up and started walking away from the great entrance. Later on, on his path he realized Aphrodite did not tell him afterall how to break the spell on Zeus. Ganymede screamed towards the sky.
