Avli Ton theons
Ganymede struggled himself within the grip of the eagle which abducted him and flew him away high in the sky. Once they were at Everest’s height, Ganymede didn’t put enough efforts to let himself out of its catch because he knew the eagle was about hundred times stronger than Ganymede himself. He knew it was no common eagle.
After a few miles Ganymede noticed a majestic mountain. He recognized at once, it was the one and only the Mount Olympus. The eagle landed them both gracefully amidst a clouded patio and transformed itself into the mighty Zeus. Ganymede was caught by surprise. The only question he had to himself was as to why would the mighty Zeus conduct such an affair.
“O dear Ganymede, make yourself at home.” Bantered Zeus. “I certainly would like to apologise to the err of my ears, but did thy majesty say ho- ““I know what I said Ganymede, my dear one. For it is I who now desires to have thou as my only cupbearer.” Ganymede Stood there baffled, not sure of how to respond to that. But for one thing he was sure, it was the cunnings of Aphrodite. She must have had Zeus drink some of her potions to stir her daily life a little. All these matters were nothing compared to the thought of how Hera would respond to this. That very thought made Ganymede pale. “Sire, allow me to leave respectfully, I beg. My Troy awaits and so does my paternals.” Ganymede pleaded with all his might hoping he could make a smooth elope before Hera would know about the mess Zeus had made for himself. “Good gracious!! Don’t commit such folly, Dearest Ganymede you mustn’t leave so brutally. I have been yearning for thou.” A chill ran down Ganymede’s spine. ‘The wonders of Aphrodite’ he thought to himself.
Ganymede turned his head around, trying to come up with some better eloquency as to buy himself his ticket of freedom from the abominations Zeus had implied. Not far from sight two goddesses Apate and Antheia were adorning Mount Olympus with fragrant flowers. Their eyes met with Ganymede and they both flustered.
One of the reasons Ganymede came to the appeal of Zeus at first with the effect of the potion was his unusual beauty. The kind of face any living being can fall in love for. His perfect jaw and crystal Green eyes like emerald, had drowned innumerable maiden hearts. He was desirable and appealing to every eye.
He turned his head back to facing Zeus. “Thy lord, if I am allowed to confer a minimalistic wish in return for my extended stay….”” Why Ganymede, dear ask anything to your heart’s content.” Very well then. I desire to see Aphrodite as soon as possible.”” Granted.” Zeus dragged Ganymede along to his court.
Ganymede went on pouring glass after glass but no amounts of intoxicants could shut Zeus up about his banter on Ganymede’s looks. Ganymede already feeling fed up, was about to pour another fill when Hera entered.
“Your majesty I-” Hera stopped midway, looked at Ganymede bearing the cup for Zeus. Her scalp was prickling. And Ganymede, he just stood there, frozen in fear. He could have said anything in his defense but he knew Ate was laughing on him behind his back. Hera turned around and walked away. Zeus got up staggering and followed Hera. His balance on body was dismantled. “Heraa I.. I… why are you sad my honored wife?” “Why lord, do I appear so? I was wondering I could bring Ganymede along today this evening to the Avli Ton theons. I am certain he will take a good care of our entertainment.”” But I was looking forward to spend this evening with him. Besides I have a wish to grant to Ganymede.” Zeus looked lustfully at Ganymede. Ganymede grimaced. “And what is that my husband’s dear Ganymede wish for?” Ganymede wanted to stop Zeus from speaking it out loud but as he opened his mouth Hera held a finger as to stop him from interrupting Zeus. “he desired to see Aphrodite personally.” Hera gave an evil grin and chuckled. “Oh dear, do you not see? As your beloved wife. I would very much like to behold the dignity of the great Zeus by granting Ganymede his wish. Aphrodite will be present at the Avli Ton Theons today evening. How will it have been possible for her to visit you then? Listen to your witty wife, let Ganymede accompany me for the evening today.” Zeus had no more to say hearing that. After all he feared Hera as much as Ganymede did at that point. After a long pause Zeus spoke “Ah, how can we turn destinies. Ganymede my loved one, it seems that stars are against our convocation this evening. You must go with my wife today.”
Ganymede knew it was nothing which should be called ‘granting wish’.
As the evening fell Hera came to Ganymede with a bright smile. Ganymede felt cold with nervousness as he did not know what to expect. “Your highness I have heard that in the Avli Ton Theons men are- ““Pay heed, Ganymede. I am not enchanted by your heavenly face.” Hera controlled her Voice. “but those who are, I desire you shall not disappoint them.” “Y-yes thy goddess Hera.”
Hera walked Ganymede through gigantic corridor. Pictures of Angles playing harp were beautifully painted on all walls. It was the work of no one but Athena. Ganymede couldn't follow up with Hera, he was too enticed with the intricate art works all around.
A few steps later Ganymede bumped into Hera. She grunted. Ganymede was about to throw hurdles of apologies when Hera said- "Welcome to Avli Ton Theons"
