Chapter 9 “Keep up!” Akta shouted. “I’m trying!” I could barely stay upright on the unicorn Akta brought for me as we galloped away from Horace and Gloria’s house. I had felt wonderful there, nearly recovered, but the constant up and down of the unicorn’s gallop made my head spin like I drank too much wine. I looked back toward the little house and watched a gang of demons descend upon it. “Are they going to be okay?’ “There’s nothing you can do for them now!” Akta shouted, turning down an old, dirt road. The wall of bodies, ever present in Hell, moaned at us. “Where are we going?” I asked. “Away!” she replied. “Quit worrying. Save your strength and just keep up!” *
