WE RODE FOR HOURS UNTIL Akta stopped in front of a large cave carved into a rock wall. From its lip, I saw walls of moaning humans stretch far into the horizon, and sheer cliffs ascended above it to Hell’s ceiling. The last time I was in Hell, Dis, the biggest city in Hell, filled the horizon and the plains of Hell stretched for leagues upon leagues. Now, I couldn’t even see a mile in any direction without being confronted by a wall of limbs and other assorted body parts. “Come,” Akta said, lighting a torch and walking into the cave. I followed her, my wings fluttering behind me. Akta lit the torches along the walls until eventually the whole cave was lit with flickering lights.
