Chapter 9

Kelly's P.O.V.

We pulled up into a wealthy neighborhood where all the houses were close yet privately far away. " I built this development in mind that people should have neighbors but not too close, if you know what I mean" he chuckled as I nodded and oogled at some of these houses that were as big or bigger than some of the barns we used back home. We stopped at the end of the neighborhood where there looked to be a man made lake and some trees on the outer rim of the property. " Here it is, home sweet home" he said as we got out of the jeep and he opened the door. The outside was immaculate, the tall mansion was a beautiful grey with a blackened wooden door in it's midst. Glynn opened the door with a code and when you walked in, the high ceiling took your breathe away.

All the lighting was natural except for the chandelier that was in the entryway. " Is that all solar lighting?" I asked him as he closed the door behind me. " Yes it's a new type though, you can actually turn them on during the night if it's to dark within the house" as he flipped on the switch and the place lit up. " Wow that's amazing" I said as he grabbed my hand gently. " Let me take you on a tour of the house" as he led me up a giant spiral staircase and proceeded to show me five other bedrooms along with his office. We reached back downstairs and my stomach grumbled. " You must be hungry, I'll order in. What would you like?" As he handed me a few menus, and I found the thai food one. " Thai, really?" He said astonished. " Yes, I tried it with my mother once when we came to Dallas for her cancer surgery. We ate it and I absolutely fell in love with it. " I said sadly. He looked at me and nodded, " Okay, I'll get a bunch ordered then" as he looked at me and left me alone as I reminsced

about that fateful day.

Flashback

"Kelly honey, look at the menu and decide what you want to eat" my mother said as she smiled at me but yet I knew she was in pain. We were at a quiet Thai restaurant right down the street from the Cancer hospital. I knew she had a hard time walking down here but she insisted even though my father offered to drive her. My dad leaned in and kissed her cheek, " So what's new with the softball team?" He asked me as the waitress came to get our orders. I didn't know how to pronounce it properly but it was a noodle dish and I loved noodles. " It's good" as she got our orders and left. " I'm going to practice on pitching this next week and I can't wait!" " Well, we are both proud of you honey, doing so well in school and sports. You're sure to get a college interested in you" my mother beamed proudly. " I agree dear" my father said as he kissed my mother's forehead.

Flashback Ends

As I stared out into Glynn's backyard, I felt a tear fall down my cheek. My father was once a good man, but after my mother passed everything went downhill. Glynn walked in and I tried to cheer up. " Okay food is on it's way, when we are done there is a mall down thr road we can go to to get you some clothes" he grinned at me and I nodded. " So this position, who will be my boss?" I asked him. " Well you will actually work under my brother, Griffin and he can be a mess but he is a good boss. " Okay" I said as he came up to me and gently caresssed my cheek with his thumb. " Can I kiss you darling?" As his blue eyes touched my soul and I nodded as his lips captured mine in a sweet sensual kiss, then he bit my bottom lip and my mouth opened for him. His tongue tasted so sweet and I wrapped my arms around his neck as our kiss became more passionate. He grabbed my back and pushed me closer in to him and I could feel a bulge in his lower region. He broke away the kiss for a moment to catch our breath, " This is what you do to me Kelly, I don't where I got so lucky but I'm so glad we met." As he gently kissed the tip of my nose. " I am too " as I gently kissed his lips once more, then the doorbell rang. He released me and went to go get the food as I rummaged through his kitchen to find plates and utensils for dinner. " What do you want to drink?" I asked him. " Water is good" he said as I found two bottles in the refrigerator. There was a huge bag full of food and I just looked at him. " I didn't know what you liked, so I just ordered all my favorites. " he grinned sheepishly and I just laughed.

Glynn's P.O.V

After we finished eating, I contacted my personal shopper at Sak's Fifth Avenue and told them I would be there within the hour to do some clothes shopping. He replied with a thumbs up and I put my phone away as Kelly was putting away the leftovers and cleaning the kitchen.

" Darling, you don't have to do that, I can get it" She smiled at me, " No it's only fair you bought dinner and I clean up " she smiled sweetly as she washed dishes. I just looked at her and to me it was though she had always belonged here with me. I just shook my head at the thought, I knew we were going to take it slow but these last 72 hours I just couldn't keep my mind off of her and I didn't really want her to move into her own place. " Are you ready to go?" I asked after a few minutes and saw her drying the dishes. " Yep, sure am" as she bounced over to me and kissed my cheek. Even something as simple as that, made my heart skip. " Okay, after we get done shopping we can go over to the condo and see what you think?" As we both hopped into the Jeep. " Sure, may I ask what is in your garage? " I smirked to myself as I opened the five car garage and she saw my other vehicles. " oh my goodness, you have six vehicles?!" She shrieked as she jumped out of the Jeep and I laughed at her. She immediately ran to the Blue Saleen Mustang that I had custom built.

" Wow she's gorgeous " she beamed. " Yes, that's Sally" She looked over at me, "they have names? I nodded.

" Yes, this one" as I pointed to the Black Dodge Charger Hell Cat, " is Dina " and this one as I pointed to the Silver Lexus LC 500 " is Renée ". "The Porsche 911 is Helen and this one which was one of my favorites, the baby blue Lamborghini Huracan is Elsa" Kelly looked at me, " Elsa like from Frozen?!" She giggled. " Yes, when I saw her, it just came to me" " Wow, I can't believe it, they are all so beautiful " as she admired Elsa. " We will take them all out sometime but I promise you will love Elsa" as she came back towards me and I led her back to the Jeep. " So what's her name?" She asked me. " I haven't named her yet, maybe you can think of a good name for her ?" I asked as she nodded thoughtfully.
