Chapter 11

Kelly's P.O.V

Today I would be starting my new job at Worthington Enterprises and I was nervous ot say the least. Glynn assured me it would all work out and that I could follow him in his Lexus " Renee" ; to work this morning in the Jeep. So I tried my best to not let my nerves get the best of me as I jumped out of the jeep. I chose a navy blue blazer and skirt combo with a white starched blouse. My hair was gently curled and even Glynn made it a point to make out with me before we left the house. " It's going to be hard to keep my hands off of you Miss Miller" he said as he quickly grabbed my butt then let go as soon as the doors opened. " Good morning Mr. Worthington " a nice older lady greeted us. " Good Morning Joanne, this is Kelly Miller our new CPA" as I stretched out myhand and she shook it. " lovely to meet you ma'am " I said as she looked at me sweetly. " nice to meet you too dear, have a good day" she said as we entered the elevator. " Joanne has been here for twenty years and always has a smile on her face, that's why my father never got rid of her and neither do I" " Well that's so nice, she seems like a sweet lady" I said. " She is, always has my back, not always my brother Griffin" he chuckled and I just smiled back. The elevator doors opened up and we were met with another receptionist., Hannah was her name and she was a bit younger but a few years older than I. " Good morning Mr. Worthington " she smiled sweetly Glynn but scowled at me. " Hannah, this is Kelly Miller she will.be working for Griffin from now on. She will be in the corner office as our new CPA " Glynn said. " Of course sir, anything you need just let me know " she smiled at him but never looked at me. Glynn led me down a small hallway, " Let's go meet your boss" he said as I gulped nervously. I already felt uncomfortable with Hannah, I just hoped things with Griffin went better.

Glynn knocked on his brother's door and he said, " Come in" as Glynn opened the door and a carbon copy of Glynn stood up, except he worked out more than Glynn did. He was a little stockier but still had the same beautiful features as Glynn and maybe an inch or two shorter. " Well, well this must be Kelly Miller. How lovely to meet you my dear" as Griffin bowed and kissed the top of my hand. " Now dear brother, I now know why you grabbed her up so quickly " as he joked with Glynn. " As a matter of fact, she is the highest student in her class and she is almost graduated with honors with her CPA. She will be working with us while she finishes up and then may move to my department after her graduation. It will just depend on what she wants to do" Glynn said as he motioned for me to sit down in front of Griffin's desk. " So Miss Miller, tell me about yourself" Griffin smiled sweetly at me and I proceeded to tell him my story and what my goals were. He sat there thoughtfully and nodded at the appropriate times. " Well Miss Miller, you may be new to the corporate world but I have full faith in my older brother that he knows your the right person for the job."

" Well thank you Mr. Worthington " He held up his hand, " Please call me Griffin" as I smiled back at him. " Miss Miller, will you excuse us for a moment. I need to speak with my brother if you don't mind" Griffin said as Glynn just looked at him. " It's okay Kelly, I'll just be a moment ,then I can show you your office " Glynn said as I nodded then left Griffins office. I sat back out near Hannah's desk and she snarled at me. " You may look like a Barbie but you definitely don't have the brains to stay around this place very long" as I turned and looked at her, but the phone rang and she answered it sweetly. I just shook my head at the nerve of that woman, how dare she say that to me.

Glynn's P.O.V.

" So dear brother, does that body have brains to go along with it? Have you tapped her yet?" And I got up and grabbed him by his collar, " Don't you ever make assumptions about her ever like that again, or else do you understand?!" As I felt myself becoming hot and angry at him for even suggesting that. " Whoa bro, chill out. I was just joking. She is gorgeous no doubt about that. But are you sure she can handle this line of work? I mean where did you find her?" He asked and I proceeded to tell him the other part of the story she left out. " wow, so your like her knight in shining armor huh?" He laughed at me and I just shook my head. " Look, don't give her any problems. Make sure Henry trains her correctly and we won't have any issues here, okay?" I growled at him. " Okay, okay" he said as he lifted both hands up in surrender. " I'll make sure Henry trains her, but can I have a go at her?" I scowled at him, " Ahhh..so you have already laid claim huh? Well we will see about that, you know I always love a challenge dear brother" he said as he opened his door and yelled for Kelly to come back and join us. " Game on brother" he whispered as Kelly walked back into his office. " We will see about that" I retorted and grabbed her hand and led her back into the hallway towards her new office.

I was seething on the inside and didn't realize how fast I was walking while pulling Kelly along with me. We entered her office and I slammed the door behind us. Kelly pulled her arm away and was rubbing it. " You hurt me" she whispered. " I'm sorry darling, I said. I didn't mean to, my brother said some things that upset me." She nodded quietly, and then looked around her new office. " This is so nice, I love the view" as she walked towards the window that showed downtown Dallas. " Yes it is" as I came up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist. " What are you doing?" she turned around and looked at me longingly. " We are alone in your office, no one will see us " as I looked at her lips and bent down and gently kissed them. " mmmhhm" she moaned out and I felt my d**k flinch in response. " Darling, don't do that" Her green eyes looked deep into mine. " Why not?" she asked innocently. " Because I want to take you over that desk and do things I shouldn't be thinking about" I whispered into her ear and I felt her shiver against me. " Okay... she breathed out" as I released her and we parted. There was a knock at the door, " Come in" and my brother, Griffin strolled in with Henry with a smirk on his face. Kelly looked up and smiled at them as they came in and introduced themselves.

Kelly's P.O.V.

Griffin walked in with another handsome man a bit older than Glynn. " I'm Henry, I will be training you for this position. Do you have experience being a CPA?" he asked me as I told him of my college experience and the class I was about to finish up with . " Well, sounds good to me. There will be a few things that we need to cover and then we can go to HR and get everything sorted out for you about security clearance." Henry said as Glynn and Griffin stood in the corner, whispering to each other. " Sounds wonderful ,when your finished come back up here and my brother Glynn and I will take you out to lunch to get to know you a little better" Griffin said as he exited my office. Glynn just glared at him as Henry escorted me to the HR department.

He was about six foot, with a swimmer's body with hazel eyes and blonde hair. He was a very attractive man and if any of the other men in this office looked like him, I was going to be in trouble. We made small talk and he was telling me about what sports he played in college and one of them was baseball. " Really? I played softball in high school and received a college scholarship but my mother died, so I wasn't able to finish out the first year and had to drop out." " I'm so sorry to hear that ,we have softball tournaments at our company picnic in the fall. I would love for you to join, if your interested" he smiled at me sweetly. " I would love that" as he handed me his business card and I put it in my briefcase. We finished up with HR and Glynn showed up right behind us as we reached the elevator to go back up to my office. " I can handle Miss Miller from here, Henry" " Yes sir" Henry said as he turned around and winked at me and left. " What was that?" Glynn asked with his arms folded. " I don't know, he was just telling me about the company softball team tournament" as I shrugged at him wondering why he was being jealous. " Well, keep it to a minimum with him" Glynn said as we walked back to my office together.

We reached my office and I sat down in front of my computer and logged in. Everything was already set up for me from HR and after lunch, Henry was going to come back and help me get my training started. I watched Glynn out of the corner of my eye and he was just watching me as he sat down across from me. I had to clear the air, " What is wrong with you?" I asked sitting back in the chair. " You flirting with every guy you meet is what's wrong" he said angrily.

" Excuse me? I have been nothing but nice to these people you have introduced me to and the receptionist out there was rude as hell. She called me a barbie and that I wouldn't last so excuse me if I am trying to get along with my other "male" co-workers so that I can do the job I was hired to do. If you have a problem with that Mr. Worthington, then I will leave." as I went and grabbed my briefcase and proceeded to walk out the door, when he stood in front of me and stopped me. He ran his hand through his lush hair and I just glared at him. " I'm sorry okay? as he put his hands on my shoulders. " Darling, you mean alot to me and I got jealous of the attention they were giving you" as he looked at me with his deep aqua blue eyes and I melted under his stare. I sighed, " Fine, but act like this one more time and I'm taking Anna back home" " Anna? You named the Jeep?" he said with a smile on his face. " Yes I did" as I crossed my arms and I felt my breasts pop up out of my blouse. " Glynn looked down and smirked as he leaned down and kissed my lips tenderly. " Miss Miller, we have a lunch date to attend to, are you ready to go?" he asked as I nodded and I opened the door of my new office to leave.
