29 Meeting the O’Hannigans Emilee gasped as she stumbled forward, clinging to the crutches, fighting for balance. He had warned me his mother was old before her time. This could be his grandmother. A slim woman, her hair cut in a short bob, stood in the door opening, glancing down at Emilee. She was as tall as Connor.
