Carrying a huge secret alone is eating Camila from the inside out. Everyday, whenever she looks at her parents, it's like her chest is being ripped open. She has to act normal in front of her family, especially her sister who is absolutely nosy. Julienne is a sweet, and loving sister. Her first instinct is to protect Keisha from anything that would harm her. The problem is, she's overprotective. There are times that she's more snoopy than their own mother. "Camila, what's taking you so long? And, why are you locking your door?" Julienne called from outside her room. "In a minute!" Camila responded. She even had to force back the bile that is threatening to come out of her mouth. Her morning sickness is getting worse everyday. Sometimes, it's getting hard for her hide how she really feels in the morning. "Yeah, Julienne? Do you need anything?" "What took you so long? Mom and Dad are both waiting for us." Her sister asked suspiciously. "Nothing. I just didn't like the first set of clothes that I wear, so I had to change. Come on." Even though she can see that Julienne is not convinced by what she said, he sister stayed quiet. However, Camila can feel her scrutinizing stares. She has to start wearing lose clothes because of the changes that her body is going through. As soon as she stepped into the stairwell, it's like her sense of smell has been kicked by something strong. It was the smell of the food that her mother prepared. Everything started spinning around her so fast that it's getting hard for her to stand straight. "Camila, you look pale. Are you feeling okay?" Her mother quickly approached her. "Yes, Mom. I'm fine. Don't worry." Even though her stomach kept pushing the food back, Camila forced herself to look like she's enjoying their breakfast. Her sister, as usual, is eyeing her like she will turn into a pumpkin at any minute. Julienne volunteered to take her to school before she go to work herself. While on their way to her school, she can feel her sister's glances. She knew that Julienne is dying to ask her a load of questions, and it was a good thing that she wore her headphones. She even had to pretend that she's reading her book for first period, just so her sister will not think about asking her. "Thank, sis. See you later." She said before getting off the car. After all the pretense in front of her family, she has to do it on a larger scale at school. Maintaining her sweet and cheerful smile, hiding the struggles she's experiencing. She's been convincing everyone that she's okay. Even though on the inside, her heart is breaking into little pieces. "Hey, Nick. I thought you were coming over last night?" That was Patty, one of the school's 'it girls'. "Sorry, Patty. My folks had some visitors last night, and I had to help them." Her ex-boyfriend said. "What about tonight? Are you available?" Party asked. "I'll call you, okay?" Ever since she told Nick about her condition, it was like she doesn't exist anymore. He hits on anything that moves, even when she's around. Her friends has been asking her about what happened between the two of them, and it was a good thing that Nick was not saying anything. Nick is a typical teenager. Carefree, playful, and irresponsible. She never expected him to offer her marriage when they turned eighteen. All she wanted from him to take responsibility of the child. But, even admitting that the child was his is difficult for Nick. "Camila! Hey!" It was Lina calling her name across the school yard, but she chose to ignore her. Instead, she acted as if she didn't hear anything. Pretending to check on her phones while walking as fast as she could, Camila went straight to their classroom. Her friends were staring at her until she sat on her chair. It's not that she doesn't want to be friends with them anymore. She just doesn't want questioning her. "Good morning, guys. Mrs. Grimson called in sick today, so I'll be her replacement until she comes back." Ms. Celine Jerickson walked in front of the class. Every boys in the class became alive, because of the sexy and beautiful music teacher. As soon as the class started, the discussion as lively as it could be. And, it's all because of those cap Cs on her chest. It was not Ms. Jerickson's fault that she has all the right curves. However, her too perfect figure is becoming so distracting for the opposite s*x. Even Camila can see how uncomfortable it is to stare at her. "Camila, stop!" This time, it's Gaia who ran after her and grabbed her arm. "Uh—hi. What's up?" She tried to act as normal as she could. "What's up? What is going on with you? You won't hang out with us, you won't even talk to us. Did we do something wrong?" Her friend asked. "What? No, I'm so sorry. I just had to catch up on some of our subjects." "Then, let us help you. Whatever subject that is, I'm sure we can deal with that." "No, Gaia, it's okay. I'll jus came catch up with you guys once I'm done. Alright? Don't worry about me. I'm fine." The truth is, Camila almost bit her tongue just to stop herself from spilling the beans. She knew that her friends would do anything to help, but she doesn't want to burden them. Besides, she's ashamed of herself. She doesn't want them to think that she's a low-level skank. She spent the rest of the day avoiding her friend, hiding out at the library. Even though she doesn't mean it, she decided to use her free time to review. It's the only way that she would be able to stay at the library on her vacant hours without looking like an i***t. More and more, the horrible idea of getting rid of her baby is becoming more of an option for her.
