Chapter 3 Continued

“Please don’t say anything.” Sky whispered to Rain. “If you do she will definitely be mad at you.” But the Rain’s stubborn nature kicked in. “Payu isn’t as good as you think he is” Rain commented. “What do you mean?” Ple asked with her head popping up in surprise. Rain swallowed hard and tried to be firm in his opinion. “The last department party I met Phi Payu.” He started to explain to Ple. “He slandered me calling me stupid and boasted about himself. So please don’t completely believe what Phi Som tells you.” “So...” Ple couldn’t believe someone was telling her not to trust her brother. “Rain, are you telling me I can’t trust Phi Som, my brother?” She wanted clarification. Even the dumbest of people would be able to detect the hostility that was held in her voice. The girl who was drowsy and sleepy now sat up straight and was about to storm away in anger. “NO!” Rain realised how wrong this had gone. “I didn’t mean it that way. I just wanted you to know that Payu isn’t what you guys think?” He explained. “Rain” Ple barked his name now. “Shut up!” “Ple?” “I do not trust your words Rain”, The anger was now trickling out of her. “Everyone around us knows Payu very well. They all know how AMAZING he is. I am not telling you that I want to date him but I think of him as an idol.” Sky had to cringe a little bit at how wrong this was going for his friend. “How would you feel when the person you admire gets slandered?” She asked aggressively. “How should I feel right now?” Rain was left speechless. Not knowing what to do, he turned to Sky for help. “Hey Ple” Sky intervened. “How about we get a cup of coffee?” He was trying his best to distract Ple from the anger she obviously felt. Ple didn’t want the atmosphere to get any worse between them so she just stood and left in the same direction as her brother leaving both Rain and Sky in silence. Sky really wanted to punch Rain at this point, but he saw the way that Rain had both of his hands now clenched. Sky forgot his anger and tried to console his friend, who was obviously distraught. “I trust you, Rain” Sky said gingerly to try and lighten his friend’s mood. “Damn it!” Rain bellowed. “I have to beat him.” By now Rain was not even listening to Sky. He was determined to prove everyone wrong. “Rain” Sky said cautiously. “I don’t want to break your heart but you are fighting against a storm. Even if your name is Rain, who will win the Rain or a Storm?” Sky asked “You will be blown away and not even a speck of dust will remain.” “I will remove his fake mask.” Rain announced to his friend. “Wait and see.” Sky now had a splitting headache and he clearly knew that Rain was never going to win that battle.
