Zara’s POV
I stood frozen in outrage, my voice still echoing from the outburst. “What the hell are you doing here?” Get out right now!” But before Leo could respond, my parents walked into the room, their faces calm showing no signs of being affected by the presence of Leo.
“Come on Zara, I raised you better, do not be rude to our guest.” My mom chastised her tone, firm but polite. I felt a wave of shock wash over me. How could they? Did they know he was coming? And why on earth will they do that without telling me?
My dad’s explanation only added to my confusion and anger, “We already invited him before we found out about the breakup, it’s your fault for not relating to us early. You two are not enemies, and you can catch up, remember we are still in business.”
