Zara’s POV
I stood amidst the sea of cheering people, the sound of “Happy New Year!” echoing through the air. Strangers hugged each other, basking in the joy of the moment,but as I turned around, scanning the crowd, my heart sank. I remebered how Lucius had surprised me on Christmas, his warm smile and the kiss, I had hoped secretly turning around that he would be here to do same, saying in his addictive voice, “Happy New Year Wifey!” but it wasn’t happening as my eyes landed on unfamiliar faces.
I was so disappointed, where the hell are you Lucius? You left and never came back.. Am I that horrible? I don’t have details of who you really are…I messed up big time, maybe I should have taken his boss number back then and find out more but that’s also insane because his boss will
