"Let's go," I said, flashing him a brief smile.
He let out a whoop of excitement and dropped to his knees, his hands clasped together in a prayer-like gesture. "Thank you, Lord, she agreed!"
I rolled my eyes, laughing. "You can't change, silly as always."
He grinned, scrambling to his feet. "Hey, someone's got to keep things interesting around here."
