CHAPTER 9

1153 Words
Since morning, Lucia has been busy. Today she wants to work hard to make her future boss not disappointed because she has chosen him to work. Yes... although she didn't understand the reason because the job she got was not what she expected. Being a secretary, she never even thought about it. It reminded him of Judith, who held the same job at the time. Usually, this position will be chosen based on many things and one of them is appearance and appearance. Looking at her reflection in the mirror, she tried to judge her own face at that moment. "I may not be as pretty as Judith, but I'm not so bad either," he muttered. She re-applied a little lipstick on her lips, making her look more fresh and young. It had been a long time since she had done this pretty, when she was preparing herself for Rudolf, but the night had ended in misfortune. Lucia immediately brushed off the many bad memories that came back, then immediately put on the high heels that she had borrowed from Mrs. Gwen. Not too high, not too low, just enough to beautify her long legs. After she had had enough, Lucia immediately got out of the simple house that was now her shelter. When he was about to lock the door, he was surprised by the woman's arrival. "You want to go already?" “Yes, Mrs Gwen. Thank you for lending me these shoes. I will replace them when I get my first salary." “Ah… don't hesitate. Just wear it as comfortably as you like, it hasn't been used for a long time either." Mrs. Gwen handed her a lunch box. "Bring this, eat it when you have free time." Lucia was truly touched by all the kindness of that woman. She was so kind that it was hard for Lucia to remember her because of the lot of help she gave to her and the late Samantha. "You are very kind, Miss." "I told you, don't hesitate. Let's go, Sam is waiting out front." Hearing that, Lucia immediately broke into a broad smile. Sam is the son of Mrs Gwen, he is very friendly. "When is Mr. Sam coming back?" "Last night," he answered with a sad expression. "What is it? Did Mr. Sam resign from his job again?" Mrs. Gwen nodded slowly. "Yes, he's resigned again. I don't know what he's looking for, it sucks." "Maybe it's not the job you want, Miss." The woman immediately dismissed the thought. "Never mind, forget about him and go to work. Don't be like him, unemployed." Lucia chuckled. "Okay, madam. Thank you for your kindness. I'll eat the food this afternoon." "Yes." Lucia quickly got out of her house and went down there. Sam was waiting on his motorbike. He smiled faintly when he saw her come down from her room. "What took you so long?" he asked when Lucia arrived. “Gosh… why do you enjoy giving your parents so much trouble, anyway?” "Couldn't you have welcomed me home more kindly, Lucy? Yeah… like warm hugs and kissing me.” Lucia pinched the man's arm, causing Sam to scream in pain. “This is a warm welcome for you!” "Aaaaakkkk! It hurts… it hurts, Lucia!” After being satisfied with pranking the man, Lucia finally sat down in the passenger seat. "Let's go quickly!" "Very well, Mrs Secretary," he teased. "Damn it! Stop teasing me." Sam chuckled, then started the bike immediately before Lucia got really pissed off. Her cheeks turned red as Lucia held her waist. His heart was beating fast, his longing for overseas was finally cured this morning. He had harbored feelings for her for a long time, but didn't yet have the slightest bit of courage to express his feelings for Lucia. In fact, Mrs Gwen—his mother, was very supportive, but he, who was too afraid of rejection, was again biding his time and thought there was still plenty of opportunity for him and Lucia. They arrived at a large building. This company became a new company that was shining in the business world because of its achievements. Sam was amazed, he felt proud that Lucia had been accepted to work in a proper place. "I hope you enjoy working here. If there is a senior who is rude, just fight it or shut up and fight when outside the office." "Hopefully so. I'm the best at defending, so don't worry." “Yes, I believe that. Keep it up Lucia!” "Yeah, you too." Lucia quickly left Sam, while the man just stared at him from a distance with a look full of love. If only he had a little bit of courage, he might have been able to express his feelings for her a long time ago—he thought. On the other hand, Alexander, who saw all that, looked jealous. He was about to get out of his car as soon as he saw Lucia coming along with another man. "You! Immediately investigate that man.” "Yes sir." The car drove back to the parking lot, where several of his men were waiting for him. Alexander ignored them all and chose to go straight to his room. There, one of his men was waiting. He immediately bowed his body as a means of respect. "'Welcome, sir." "Has she come yet?" "Just arrived and is waiting for you inside." "Lock the door and don't let anyone in." The man frowned in surprise. “S-sorry?” “Are you deaf, huh?!” “I-I understand, Master.” Alexander immediately went into his room, then the door was closed from the inside. This, of course, surprised Lucia, especially when she found out who was standing in front of her. “Y-You--” Alexander smirked, then walked over to the woman. “Hello, Miss Lucia. It seems you still remember me.” “W-what do you mean, sir?” asked Lucia, pretending not to recognize him. Hearing that, Alexander felt furious. “Oh… you don't remember me, do you?” The man snorted in annoyance. "Okay, I'll make you remember." Alexander immediately pulled the woman into his arms, then wanted to kiss her. The surprised Lucia immediately brushed off Alexander's hand and ran towards the door. However, the door was locked from the outside, leaving him unable to move. "I-I don't understand what you're saying," she whispered. Seeing her frightened made Alexander feel satisfied. He approached the woman again, then suddenly carried Lucia's body and made her scream. "Shut up if you don't want me to throw you out there," he threatened. Lucia's guts shrunk, she finally chose silence. "What do you want to do?" softly. Instead of answering, he directly placed Lucia's body on the sofa. "Guess what," he said as he unbuttoned one by one. "I'll make you remember who I am," he whispered.
