CHAPTER 10LIEUTENANT KELLY interviewed Eliot Wyndham and Gail before he left that morning. Eliot’s story was precisely like his brother’s. The two of them had dined with Gail, and left about nine o’clock. She was tired and wanted to go to bed. They didn’t want to go back to the hotel, so decided to run out to Stonehill, where they’d lived as boys. They sat there talking until nearly midnight, and went back to their hotel.
