Chapter 16

Hope’s Pov:-

“This is your room,” Blade said while opening the door and putting my luggage inside. It was a medium-sized room with a bed in the middle, a nightstand, couches near the window, and a wardrobe.

“Liked it?” He asked while turning to me,

“Very much,” I replied while smiling at him,

“Get some rest, you’re gonna meet people in few minutes,” He said,

“Hm… I’m never good with people staring at me,” I said with a worried expression on my face,

“Don’t worry, Dakota will be there… beside you,” he replied,

I rolled my eyes at his reply and he just chuckled while walking out of the room and closing the behind. I walked towards the bed and sat down on the soft mattress,

“Gosh,” I sighed.

“Hope,” I heard Blade’s knock on the door,

Hearing his voice Anxiety kicked in, “Calm down Hope,” I whispered while taking deep breaths, I opened the door and glanced at him, “Ready?” he asked,

“Yes,” I breathed out,

“Just take a deep breath,” He said while gesturing to me, I nod my head at him while taking a deep breath.

As I glanced at him, he gestured to me to follow him and I did. We reached the stairs and I noticed Dakota walking towards us from the opposite side, he glanced at Blade who smiled at him and stepped back.

Dakota took my hand in his and gave a small smile, his touch shot electricity all over my body and it somehow reduced the anxiety. I glanced at the people sitting at the huge dining table and smiled at them while we climbed down the stairs, everyone had a smile on their faces as we walked towards the table.

Dakota pulled a chair beside his mom for me, I thanked him and sat down. He sat beside me and Blade sat beside his brother.

“Everyone, This is Hope Monroe, Mate of Dakota… your future Luna,” Sean announced, Everyone began clapping their hands and congratulating Dakota.

“But Alpha… She’s a human,” came a female voice, I turned my head and saw a redhead with brown eyes glancing at me while questioning Sean.

“Yes… Ember,” Sean nodded his head at her, “And… She’s his mate,” Sean replied in a stern voice.

“In years, we never let any human into our pack… Don’t you think…” Sean cut her off, “I’m letting her in... “ He said with his voice raised and in an extremely serious tone.

There was pin-drop silence in the room, no spoke anything, Sean kept looking at Ember and she slowly lowered her head,

“Yes, Alpha,” She replied.

The dinner began in complete silence; no one spoke anything and then Blade finally broke the silence and asked his father about the mating ceremony. I don’t know what that means but Sean replied that it would be held on the day after tomorrow.

Sean then introduced Beta John and Gamma Olive to me, they were extremely kind to me and welcoming. Blade told me that everyone liked me and it relaxed me a bit. After dinner, everyone left for their rooms and I made my way to mine, I opened the door and stepped inside, As I was about to close it a hand stopped me.

“Dakota?” I widened my eyes in surprise, “What are you doing h-here?” I asked as I stared at his face. He gazed at me without blinking and it had my heart beat rapidly, My breathing went unstable and my throat dried.

He stepped inside and closed the door behind all the way without breaking eye contact, he stepped forward towards me with his eyes never leaving mine.

“Dak-Kota,” I stuttered while stepping back,

“What are you doing?” I gulped hard while my legs hit the edge of my bed, All of a sudden he wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me towards him. I gasped as my body hit him and my hands landed on his chest.

His hot breath was hitting my face and I could feel his heart beating rapidly against my palm, “The question is… what are you doing?” He asked in his husky voice, his eyes never leaving mine.

“Wh-What?” I asked with ana confused expression on my face,

He didn’t reply, instead, he crashed his lips against mine and knocked the air off my lungs.

I pressed my hands against his chest and tried to push him away but he was strong. I resisted his kiss and sealed my lips in a thin line.

His intoxicating smell filled my nose and his soft lips were sending sparks all around my body.

His lips moved to my jaw and he began placing wet kisses all over my jawline. His soft and warm lips reached my neck and kissed my sweet spot.

"Oh," I moaned out as he sucked and licked the spot where my neck meets my head.

His lips found their way back to my lips and this time I kissed him back. His kiss was electrifying. It clouded my mind and senses like a drug and left me wanting more and more.

His hands moved to my waist and pressed me against his body, he sucked and chewed my lower lip making me moan in pleasure.

He moved his hands to my face while he angled his head in a way so that he could get better access.

I found myself moving back and lowering down onto the bed. In a just blink of an eye, I was pressed on the mattress and he was on top of me.

He had his hands on either side of my head, balancing himself not to put his weight on me.

My hands in his soft hair, gripping them while I kissed him with the same intensity.

His hands moved down towards my neck, he wrapped his fingers around my neck while he deepened the kiss.

I was completely turned on and wet down there.

All of a sudden, he pulled back. I opened my eyes and stared at him with my senses clouded with lust and desire. The absence of his touch on my lips saddened me and it was evident in my eyes.

We both were breathing hard and staring at each other, his hands were still on me while he stared down at me with lust evident in his eyes.

"That was good," he whispered while staring at my lips.

My heart was beating rapidly against my ribcage while I was breathing hard.

With a last glance, he climbed off and began getting off of my bed. I sat up and stared at him in confusion, I watched him walking out of the room without even glancing at me.

I blinked while pushing my hair back and pulling my lower lip between my teeth.

What the hell just happened? I thought while staring at the door.
