Original Heirs

Chapter 6

Hope’s Pov:- 

I woke up feeling sun rays falling on my face, groaning loudly I got up from my bed and stretched my body. As soon as I stood up my nose caught a different smell coming from the window. I recognized this pleasant smell. This was the same smell! He smelled similar, that mysterious guy. He smelled the same. Excitement shot over me as I ran to the window. I looked around but there’s no one there, I sighed in disappointment. 

Maybe I’m just imagining it, I don’t know when I will meet him, I just want to know him. 

I walked back to my bed and sat on the edge of it, I sighed deeply while sadness washed over me. I pushed my hair back while biting my lower lip, “Did I just imagine the smell or was it real?” I asked myself to think deeply. 

I shrugged and got up from the bed, I walked into my bathroom and did my morning routines. 

“Hope!” I heard my mom calling me from downstairs, 

“Coming mom,” I yelled back while combing my hair, I quickly took my bag and ran downstairs, 

“Good morning,” My father greeted as he saw me walking downstairs, I smiled before greeting back, 

“Good morning, Dad.” I placed my bag on the couch and walked towards the dining table. 

“Hm… smells good,” I was excited to see what my mom did for breakfast, she smiled at me before serving me my breakfast. 

“Oatmeal and… scrambled eggs,” she said while serving me, I began digging into my breakfast ignoring my father’s chuckle.

After having my breakfast, my dad dropped me off at the college. As soon as I entered the hallway, I saw Axel waiting for me near my locker, “Hey!” he smiled as he saw me. 

“Hi,” I smiled back, 

“I was actually waiting for you?” he said while looking around, 

“Is everything alright?” I asked as I noticed him looking around. 

“Yeah, yeah, everything is fine,” he said smiling at me, “I just want to tell you something,” he said as I opened my locker and placed my bag inside. 

“Okay,” I replied while taking my books, I turned to him and we both began walking towards our class. 

“Yesterday… at the party I saw something…” before he could complete Lana called us from behind, “Hey!” I turned around and saw her walking to us with a big smile on her face. 

“Good morning,” she greeted, as we were walking towards the class someone bumped into Axel making him stumble back. 

“Axel!” I rushed to him and helped him stand up, 

“Thank you,” he smiled while getting up from the ground. I looked up and saw a tall guy wearing a grey t-shirt paired with black skinny jeans. He was attractive with his ocean blue eyes and brown hair neatly combed. 

I noticed him smirking at Axel, and I realised he did it purposely, but why? A question popped inside my head. 

“Watch where you are going, nerd!” a guy beside the tall guy said, I glanced back at Axel and saw him looking at them with a blank expression on his face. There was some kind of tension in the air, no one was saying anything, the tall guy and Axel kept on staring at each other while standing nose to nose. 

“Axel,” I tried to break the staring contest, 

“Actually I think you should apologize to me…”  Axel flatly maintained the staring contest. 

The tall guy raised his eyebrow, “And why do you think I should do that?” he replied,

“Because you were the one bumped into me,” he replied, 

“Oh!” he said, smirking widely. 

“Don’t tell me you don’t know how to apologize, Blade!” Axel said in an irritated tone, 

“Like come on... I know you lack manners…” Before he could complete the sentence this blade guy punched him in his face making Axel stumble back. 

“Axel!” I gasped, 

Blade walked up to him with anger evident in his eyes, Axel stood up and punched his jaw hard. They began punching each other furiously. 

“Axel,” I screamed when I saw blood coming out of his mouth, 

“Somebody, stop them,” I yelled but no one was trying to stop them, everyone was enjoying the fight. 

I ran towards Axel, who fell down because of blade’s hard punch, Lana and I tried to pull Axel up but before we could do that, blade grabbed my arm and pushed me away making me directly hit myself on someone. 

A pair of strong-arms wrapped itself around me, I was squeezed against a hard chest and my hands gripped the t-shirt, I looked up and my eyes met a pair of emerald eyes looking down at me. 

They were so beautiful, I never saw these beautiful eyes before, my eyes moved from his eyes to his straight nose to his pink cupid bow lips. He was so fair and attractive with his black hair neatly combed back.  

Oh, wait! Axel!

I blinked and quickly moved away from him and turned back, axel and Blade were still punching each other. I opened my mouth and before I could say something a deep rich voice came from my behind, 

“Blade,”  I looked at the guy behind me and saw his emerald eyes glaring at Blade. 

I looked back at Blade and saw him looking at the guy behind me, he slowly got up and looked at him, while glancing back at Axel he began walking towards the guy behind me. I quickly ran to Axel, he was coughing while laying down on the floor.

I helped him stand and glanced at the guy, he was walking away with Blade and his two friends. As I pulled Axel’s hand, I saw that guy turning his head and looking back at me.

“Aw!” Axel hissed as Miss. Wilson cleaned his wounds and applied ointment.  

“Thank god, Dakota stopped you guys,” Lana said, glaring at Axel. I looked back at her in confusion. 

‘Dakota?” I asked, 

she turned to me, “The guy who stopped Blade! He’s Dakota, Blade’s brother, they both are twins,” she said. 

“Okay, Axel, your wounds are cleaned… you need to stop fighting with Blade and concentrate on other things,” Miss. Wilson said while placing the first aid kit away. 

“Okay, Miss. Wilson,” Axel replied while getting up from the bed. As we began walking to our classrooms, his eyes flashed in front of my eyes. 

“Dakota,” I whispered.
