I hated Bartholomew Virion with all my heart. He was the most frustrating person I ever saw and I just couldn't stand him. Fortunately it was very easy not running into him considering that he was a fictional character. Bartholomew was the main character of one of the most famous manhwas ever. He was a billionaire who had a terrible past. His whole family got murdered while he wasn't at home and he was looking for the killer ready to do anything it took to find him. He wasn't a good person and he didn't say he was. I loved villains usually but the way he behaved was irritating because no one ever got mad at him for some reason. He just kidnaped people and made them do whatever he wanted not apologizing once. That guy was a snake but for some reason when I opened my eyes in the hospital he seemed very worried about me. He wouldn't stop smiling at me and insists that we are engaged. What the hell is going on here?

Chapter 1
I hated Bartholomew Virion with all my heart. He was the most frustrating person I ever saw and I just couldn't stand him. Fortunately it was very easy not running into him considering that he was a fictional character. Despite that I still saw him everywhere I went. Bartholomew was the main character of one of the most famous manhwas ever. Having downloaded webtaan, I immediately saw an ad for the manhwa and started reading it. I did get to the half of that very long story but I had to stop because of how horrible the main character was. In the manhwa of the same name, Bartholomew was a billionaire who had a terrible past. His whole family got murdered while he wasn't at home and he was looking for the killer ready to do anything it took to find him. He wasn't a good person and he didn't say he was. I loved villains usually but the way he behaved was irritating because no one ever got mad at him for some reason. While he was doing anything he could to find the killer, Bartholomew met a girl who transmigrated from our world to his. Bonnie Stein was a huge fan of the manhwa and she transmigrated into it as usual, after her sudden death. She immediately ran into Bartholomew and saved his life multiple times because of what she knew about this world. Bartholomew being a billionaire and mingling with dangerous people, he would be the victim of murder attempts multiple times during the story and Bonnie miraculously appeared by his side right after he got shot. It was right after she died and she immediately recognized him. She froze and stared at him for a few seconds thinking that she was dreaming. She was waiting to wake up or for something to happen but Bartholomew saw her and asked her for help. Bonnie found it weird that this fictional character would talk to her but hearing him plead, she finally decided to help. When she touched him she realized that this didn't feel like a dream at all and froze again. However soon adrenaline hit and she went on autopilot. She called an ambulance and Bartholomew got transferred to the hospital. After being interrogated by the cops, Bonnie immediately left. She wasn't let in because she wasn't Bartholomew's family or friend. Therefore she just started walking around and she started crying seeing that she wasn't in her world anymore. Her favorite park, her favorite coffeehouse, her house... Everything was gone and her phone couldn't call anyone. She had no idea what to do and she started remembering the events of the manhwa. Suddenly she remembered that right after being shot, Bartholomew would be attacked again hours after he woke up in the hospital. He would be poisoned by a fake doctor and remembering that, Bonnie immediately ran back to the hospital and arrived just in time to save Bartholomew again. The latter got intrigued by this woman who knew things before they even happened. His two best friends, Gardenia Mistyrose and Zadimus Malum told him that she could be dangerous and maybe she was the one behind the recent attacks. Bartholomew knew that this wasn't possible because she was the one who saved him after all. Having an interest in Bonnie, Bartholomew took her to his house and sequestered her until she told him how she knew what was going to happen. That was when I was first triggered. Until then the story felt very interesting but how could everyone find it normal that Bartholomew kidnapped someone? No one ever said that he did something bad and even the girl didn't complain. She didn't have anywhere to go after all but she never hated the male lead for k********g her. She did save his life after all. Why was he so mean to her? Bonnie had a comfortable room, clothes and food but she was still kidnapped. Bartholomew didn't care about people's feelings and always did whatever he wanted. He would come to her room every night after work and ask her if she had something to tell him. She always answered no and he would then leave. Bonnie stayed there for some days and she quite liked the luxury she lived in. She tried becoming friends with everyone but people weren't friendly in that house and she spent most of her time alone. She refused to tell Bartholomew the truth because it sounded crazy but most of all she didn't want him to get hurt. Throughout the whole manhwa, Bonnie would look out for Bartholomew while he didn't care about her at all. She would ask him if he ate, if he slept enough etc. Feeling that Bonnie cared for him, Bartholomew started acting differently. People said that it was because he fell for her but I felt that he just wanted to use her. He started eating with her and taking her with him to work. Bonnie was happy to get out of the house but she just got traumatized because Bartholomew took her to all the dangerous places. He took her to a meeting with gang members and when Bartholomew was said to have finally fallen for a woman, he strongly denied that he felt anything for Bonnie. Bonnie was hurt but that was nothing compared to the following: "Really? So you don't care what happens to her at all? -I don't. -Then you wouldn't mind leaving her here with us for a few hours." Bartholomew nodded and seeing him calm intrigued the other: "Then you wouldn't mind shooting her either." Bartholomew took the gun handed to him and immediately shot Bonnie. Everyone heard the detonation but blood never flowed. Bonnie really thought she would die again but when she looked she had nothing. "Blank." Bonnie got so shocked that she immediately fainted and she woke up back in her room with Bartholomew. She finally got mad at him and I was there for it. I thought that she would finally destroy him and that the story would get interesting but I was so disappointed. Bonnie did get mad at Bartholomew but it didn't last long. It was enough for him to tell her that he knew the gun wasn't loaded with real bullets and apologize once for her to forgive him. She said that it was her first time hearing him apologize and he looked so sad that she had to forgive him. That was when I gave up. I still read to see what would happen and they did in fact get together and Bartholomew continued acting the same way as before. I couldn't read anymore and stopped the torture. I wasn't the only one to hate him but most people loved Bartholomew. Everyone loved him because he was very handsome and very rich and that villain vibe helped a lot too. I did love villains but I didn't like it when they were assholed to the one they loved too. I completely forgot about Bartholomew and went back to my quiet life reading other manhwas instead. My friends didn't read mahwas so it was easy to forget about them when I was hanging out with them. I loved fried chicken and loved drinking with my friends even more. We would meet up every week and would tell each other about what had happened since the last time we saw each other around alcohol. I was very good at holding my liquor and would drink huge glasses before I felt any effect but my friends weren't the same. After one beer they were red and they were screaming loudly about their problems: "And then my stupid boss decided to make us all stay for the weekend! I had already bought tickets to go to Brasilia but now it's all for nothing! Those tickets were so expensive! Who does he think he is? We have lives too! -Tell me about it! My boss never lets us go on time. I have been working two hours more per day since I got there! -That sucks... But at least you guys have jobs... I don't know how many interviews I went on... And no one called me back!" I listened to them complain while drinking silently. I knew that I would be the one taking them home as usual and three drunk men weren't easy to handle. I needed alcohol for that. "My girlfriend is mad at me... -What did you do again? -I don't know... She asked me what day we were today and I told her it was friday. -You must have forgotten your anniversary or something. -No, we got together in june. -Are you sure? Wasn't that your ex? -Oh no... I am an idiot... -You are so dead. I would break up if I were her. -What do you know? You've never dated anyone. -I dated someone once! -When? -In elementary school. -That doesn't count. -It does." I started laughing and everyone turned to me: "What's so funny? You've never dated anyone either." I shrugged: "At least I didn't confuse our anniversary with my ex's. -Stop talking about that... I know that I am stupid... -Speaking of dating, when are you going to date someone, Aed?" I hated that question and just shrugged it off: "Some day. -A lot of girls confessed to you but you always rejected them. Why?" I couldn't tell them that it was because I was gay. They had been my friends for years but I didn't know how they would react knowing the truth. "I just didn't feel like it. -What do you mean you didn't feel like it? I would die just to get a girl half as pretty to confess to me and you don't care at all. What are you?" I quickly served them another round of drinks and soon they collapsed. It took me three hours to get them home and at the end I was sweaty and exhausted. I finally started heading home and decided to win time and take the busiest streets. During the day it was full of cars and I never went there because it was quite dangerous but it was the middle of the night so I thought I could pass there. What I forgot was that it was a friday night and that there were a lot of people out drinking. I didn't even have time to feel that something was wrong when I heard a car. I was blinded by light and the next second nothing.
