The Last One

Big Ones

    Standing in front of his office's door made me wonder why the Moon Goddess send me to keep Leo sane after these years. I would say that I love him but of course as a father. We both know that I'm just a replacement for the former Luna and his mate bond. But still, I can tell that he loves me like his own flesh and blood... just like I do. 

    "Come in", he said knowing that I have been standing behind the door more than I would like. 

    Closing the door behind me, I make my way to the nearest chair in front of his desk. His eyes are focused in some documents. I don't make any move, I just wait for him. Suddenly, he puts all the papers down wih a heavy sigh. 

    "Twenty", he said rubbing the bridge of his nose.

    I lean foward to make sense of what he just said. With a rised brow and a confused look I made him almost explode.

    "You killed twenty of them without even telling me or anyone that we were under attack!", he shouted exasperated. 

    So that was the whole thing.

    "If you only count the big ones, then I killed only five of them", I said in an attempt to make him relax a bit.

    "Lilah f*****g Walker, do you have any idea of who could have been watching you?", he asked and the realization hit me.

    f**k. I didn't check my surroundings  when I killed those assholes. Wait that was Eden's job since she took control.

    "No one was watching us", Eden reassures me. 

    "No one was watching and I won't do it again", I said pained that he was so worried about me even when he knows the great fighter that I am. I lower my gaze, now my eyes are meeting my hands and all the frustration hits me. Dad's frustration, Eden's, Rylee's and mine. All in one. 

    Dad moves from behind his desk but I don't even blink at his movements, I'm still focused in my hands, in nothing. Now he is in front of me and I can feel those green eyes of him pircing through my soul. 

    "I love you", he says in one breath and I look him in the eye. "And I don't want to lose you. You know that", he said taking me hands in his. I let out a breath that I didn't know I was holding. 

    "You won't lose me", was my reply and as soon as those words left my lips, a silent tear rolled down my cheek. 

    "I know", he said as he wiped my tear away with his tumb. 

    All of a sudden, the urge to hug him was killing me and I did. He wasn't surprised and wrapped my small figure with his arms. We were like that 'till I stopped crying just like when I had nightmares. 

    "I love you too", I said as he broke our embrace. 

    He gave me a smile as he stroke my hair. A knock sent me back to Earth and my attention was now at the door's office. 

    "Wait a minute", he said as he approached the door. I nodded in response and waited for him to come back. When he came back he took me like I was a kid again in a bridal style that made me laugh. 

    "Where are we going?", I asked. 

    "Eat and watch a movie", he said as we entered in his room. 

    "Sounds good to me", I say when he places me on the ground gently. 

    I made my way to his bed and started a disaster between pillows and blanquets. 

    "I'll go get the food and you can chose the movie", he said getting out of his bedroom.

    "Ok", I shouted making myself confortable in bed. With the TV remote in hand, I looked for a movie that was worth our time. But I wanted to sing so badly, so I ended up chosing The Greatest Showman. 

    Dad came with food and gave me my portion with a glass of juice.

    "Thanks", I said with a warm smile.

    "So, what are we watching?", asked dad.

    "The Greatest Showman", I replied with exciment. 

    He chuckled a little and made himself confortable beside me. 

    "I thought you wanted to watch some historical movies", he said as he knows I like history.

    "I want to sing today", I said with my mouth filled with food.

    "I can tell", he said with a playful look. 

    We watched the movie and I would like to say that we did it silently but I couldn't stay silent and so was dad. We ended up singing almost all the f*****g movie and it was worth it. Every single song was worth it. When the movie was over we started to play Smash Bros. A knock on the door got me distracted and dad took the opportunity to win. 

    "Ha! In your face!", he shouted excited.

    "That's cheating! I got distracted", I comply.

    "You don't call that cheating when you fight against Connor", he says with a grin.

    "My liife depends on it so is not!", I reply confidently.

    "Sonic's life was on the line so I'm not a cheater", he defends.

    The knock on the door, once again catches our attention. With an annoyed look we both watch the door as if in any moment the person would just give up but when we hear another knock I sigh and make my way to the door. 

    Just as I open the door I remember what I told him. Gary didn't look mad but a bit annoyed. He wanted his mate but he wouldn't dare to come an inch close to her knowing she would try to kill him in the process. 

    "Ugh", was the first thing to come out of y mouth when I see him standing there. "I forgot", I tell him.

    "You better get ready cuz I don't want to live mateless any minute now", he says and steps backwards for me to past him.

    "Ready for what?", asks dad and Gary gives me a pleading look while I just roll my eyes 'till I can almost see my brain. 

    "Ready for Axel's party", I replied sounding more like a question than a statement.

    Dad gave me a stern look and said, "At home before midnight and no boys".

    I squealed and hugged him tight. As soon as I broke our embrace I got to my room to get ready.
