The Last One

Promise

    "Hot stuff", I heard Gary mindlinking me.

    "Hmm?", I was too intoxicated in Axel's scent that I didn't even wanted to answer him.

    "I know you are probably busy but I had to tell you that Connor is on his way to ruin your night", he said in annoyance. 

    I groan at the though of Connor and Axel gives me a confused look. 

    "Connor will be arriving soon", I tell him pressing my body to him. He gives me a peck and starts kissing my neck. 

    "What are you doing?", I giggle.

    "Memorizing your flavor", he smiles against my neck. "He will show up any minute now and I haven't tasted you at all", he started planting kisses down my neck. I moved to the side to give him more entrance and I can tell he's enjoying this as much as I do, he keeps smiling against my skin. 

    "b***h if he catches you making out is your fault", Gary sings through mindlink and makes me want to kick him and Connor.

    "Fine!", I replied annoyed. 

    "Axel I have to go", I call him out.

    "Can I borrow you like forever?", he asks with a smirk.

    "You don't have to borrow me. I'm yours just like you are mine, got that?", I lean closer to him and kiss him passionately. 

    "You sure know how to drive me crazy", he says huskily and that's a turn on that he notices. "I'm staring to think that I should mark you here and now", he smirked. 

    "Well I guess you'll have to wait. Dad's expecting me to get home with no marks. He even told me no boys for tonight and I'm here almost naked with you", I said softly bitting his lips. 

    "He forgot to say no men", he teased. 

    I sniffed the air and Connor was closer than I expected him to be. I quickly kissed Axel and unwrapped my legs from his waist. Lucky me, my arms were still wrapped around his neck. He leaned and put me on the floor like a ballerina. Connor was close but not that close, if I didn't unwrapped us, Axel would never let go of me. 

    "I'll walk you to your car", he said intertwining our hands. I nodded with a smile I couldn't help.

    "So no marking until I feel the mate bond?", I ask as we walk. 

    "That's right. But don't make it difficult to me. I wouldn't be able to control myself if the time comes", he replied scratching the back of his neck. 

    "But what if...", he cut me off with his lips and caressed my cheek.

    "I know you are worried about the mate bond and also insecure but I'll do my best to make you fall in love with me as if you had the mate bond", his lips landed on mine and kissed me passionately. 

    We started walking again and I saw Connor with my purse. 

    "You left it on Axel's room", he said pointing my purse.

    "Thanks", I said grabbing the purse. 

    "Let's go home. Dad's asking why you have been blocking the mindlink so you better find an excuse for that", he said arching a brown while glancing at both of us. 

    "Ok", I shrugged. 

    Connor turned after giving us a long stare and made his way to my car. We followed him in silence since Connor was like TNT when it came to Axel and I was pretty sure Axel didn't wanted to waste his time arguing with him. He was giving me soft kisses in my hands whenever he felt like. I didn't push him away, he was being cute and I was enjoying his attention. My car came to my view and Gary was near my car with Claire. He was staring at her like she was his world and that made me think about Axel but as soon as the though crossed my mind Axel squeezed my hand. How can he tell that I'm feeling insecure or sad about this whole thing? Guess he was made for me. 

    Gary spotted us and waved at us. Claire was by his side but soon came after me to hug me tight. That surprised me a lot. 

    "Thank you for saving him", she cried. I returned the hug and hushed her.

    "He would have done the same thing for me. There's nothing to thank me for", I whispered to her and she nodded franatically. Gary who had a lot of bandages took her off my arms and gave her a small kiss on her cheek. 

    "I'm ok, my love. Please don't cry", he pleaded while strocking her hair. He hugged her and tried to calm her. After some seconds she was more relaxed. Axel rested his hand around my shouders, I looked up at him and he gave me a wink. That's when I noticed the bored Connor waiting for me to unlock the car. I took my keys out of my purse and unlocked the car. It took less than a second for him to climb in. 

    I turned to Axel tiptoeing to kiss him, he cupped my cheeks and kissed me. 

    "See you tomorrow?", he asked.

    "Yes", I replied. 

    "Promise?", he asked leaning.

    "Promise", I said kissing him again. 

    It took half an hour for me to feel like a stupid lovebird. Not that I cared, he was being so cute. Even tho he pinned me against the tree and growled when I told him I was used to shift in front of others. He wanted me to know how much he cared about me, I was doubt itself and he wanted to make sure I wasn't. So yeah, I could get used to this. He wasn't an omega but f**k that if he wants me this much to make sure I feel the same way about him. 

    Gary kissed goodbye Claire and I did the same with Axel. Claire is part of Axel's pack so she stayed behind. We got inside the car and made our way home.The trip back was beyond awkward. Until Gary cleared his throat.

    "So you and Axel, huh?", said Gary breaking the ice.

    "Yeap", I said emphazicing the 'p'.

    "Congrats my baby trash", said an excited Gary ruffling my hair.

    "Hey! I'm driving!", I told him while a smile was creeping on the corner of my lips.

    "You get to mate to an Alpha! I'm kind of sad that you'll get to be their Luna but I'm still happy for you!", said Gary.

    "I wonder if Alpha Leo will be as happy as I am considering his ovrprotective figure over you", told me Gary with concern.

     "You should tell him", Connor breaks the silence.

    "I'll tell him when I'm ready", I said sternly.

    "When you are ready or when you can feel the mate bond? Which one?", spat Connor angrily.

    "Mate bond?", said a confused Gary. 

    "When I f*****g want! That's none of your business!", I growl at him pulling the break when we arrive.

    "Then I'm gonna tell him", said getting out of the car.

    "No, you're not", I yell at him getting out of the car as well.

    He starts running to the packhouse and I run after him to tackle him to the floor.

    "If you tell dad I'll tell him about your funny mix with alcohol", I say panting above him. 

    "You wouldn't dare!", he gasps.

    "Watch me!", I say breathless getting off of him making my way to the packhouse.

    "Come back here!", he yells.

    I open the front door and as soon as I do it my face crashes into someone... Dad.
