Chapter One Hundred and Twenty Six: The cat is out of the bag
I could not lie. I could not do it any longer. At this point I just had to accept that I had reached that part where this was simply not something I could continue to avoid. And obviously... Corbin was just a few steps away, she could easily walk back downstairs, find him and ask him. And seeing as we were not exactly on fantastic terms, the chances Of Corbin lying for me if he sensed the need to were close to zero. So yup! It was finally time for me to come clean!
"So...before you blow steam out of your ears, hear me out.." I started out with an unnecessary opening statement to a justification of my lie, which of course helped her reach the conclusion pretty fast. I might have as well straight up admitted it.
