Valerie’s POV
I couldn’t shake this awful feeling that I hadn’t seen the last of my opponent, but I had to get my head in the game. We had just over a hundred new members, and it finally seemed as if the huge influx of new requests had died down. My opponent convinced only three members to leave with him and if he thought he would convince any of the neighbouring kingdoms to support him, he would be sorely mistaken. I had what I thought was a good relationship with them and could only hope that it would remain that way.
I was sitting in the window in my office just looking at the gardens thinking that Aries was right about one thing. Life moves like the ocean. The ups and downs were just like the waves lapping up onto the beach.
