The immediate influx of new wolves was frightening. I was expecting one or two, but twenty-eight rogue wolves and two transfer applications arrived on the first day. Unfortunately, although most of the pack had moved on from the horrific attack that set the creation of our kingdom in motion, we would never forget what we had to live through to get where we were.
As I expected with rogues, there wasn’t much to find out in an investigation into their past, which led me to hold the first interviews of these members with their sponsor present. At first, I thought about placing these wolves on the outskirts of the kingdom with the packs that decided to stay in their territories, but something told me that they needed to stay close before I set them free in my kingdom.
