"How is she mum?" Haley walked over to the sofa where Rey lay, unmoved, silent and her eyes closed. "Can you tell us what's wrong with her Mrs D?" Eli who stood just across them fidgeting, trying to be calm asked. "Can you all just quit with the a hundred questions!" Mrs D shouted, checking Rey's vitals, but there was nothing, an honorary medical director in their region thought that she was having her readings wrong. "I just need to recheck, she doesn't have a pulse." She added. "Her heartbeat is too slow." "You cannot feel her heartbeat because she is not human, hers is slower compared to what you are expecting, but from a close distance it's worse I can feel it." Vee said. "What's wrong Vee?" Halsey asked. "Her heart is beating too fast." But the response they all got gave them shivers, Vee being worried was all new to them, they hadn't seen that not since they all met her. "I know you guys already filled me in on everything that has been going on, but can someone just tell me what she did exactly, I just don't understand." Putting her stethoscope aways, Mrs D faced her daughters. "Mom," Haley called after her. "The power surge she used with air, it consumed all her energy, it exhausted her. She always controls things before they get out of hands." Vee explained. "What's going on Vee?" Ellen asked. "Nothing like this has ever happened before. I can feel her, she is so distant." "If you are linked to her, that means there is something you can do for her." Mrs D suggested. "There is." "Then do it Vee." The two sisters, Eli and Ellen said in unison and they waited for a for a few minutes, their eyes fixed at Rey. "There isn't enough radiation in this earth to suppress her energy. Vee revealed. "Why does she need radiation for that?" Halsey asked. "Because that's where she gets her powers from, all the Octus Nova people absorb their energy from the sun." Vee explained. "So that means there is nothing we can do for her." Eli said defeated. "I can feel it..." Mrs D announced listening in to Rey's heartbeat. "What mom?" Haley asked in anticipation and her mother smiled slightly and then her facial expression change me to a shocked one. "What's wrong mom?" "Rey's heart rate is too high for an alien or not, it's too fast and if she continues like that she may go into cardiac arrest." Mrs D aswered. "Rey is doing that to herself but she can control it but all that will depend with how she reacts." Vee said and everyone turned to face her, shocked. "What's that supposed to mean?" Ellen asked. "Rey is going to be okay, she is safe." Vee said. "She is with her guardian, her grandmother." She added and all the eyes in that room shifted from her to Rey, armed with countless questions and at the same time a relief of some kind, that maybe she was safe, and they would wait until she was back to them.                             ****** "Allow yourself to see it, you have enough power to do that." Rey listened to her grandmother's voice. "Be ready, envision it with your mind first, let the energy flow from your mind to your whole body. Can you feel it?" "Yes grandma." Rey replied softly. "You need to focus or else you will get hurt." "I cannot feel any pain so..." "This is no time for jokes Rey. Now do it, open your eyes." Her whole concentration on what her grandmother had just explained, Rey cleared off her mind, allowing it all be in her mind and then she saw it, the blazing fire flowing all over inside her head and that time she knew what she had to do, although nervous she opened her eyes and stared in horror at her hands for a few seconds then she opened them, there was fire in both of them. "You did it." She looked up to her grandmother who was smiling her. "How do I learn how much of it I want?" Rey asked taking care not to mess it up. "With your mind." She heard her grandmother say and she did that, looked at it with intent, she saw it slow in flame and then it was a huge blaze in a matter of seconds then she closed her eyes and it was all gone. "Did you ever know that fire was one of of the gifts I would acquire?" Rey asked taking a sit. "No, but I knew you could control air." Her grandmother answered her. "Mom did too, didn't she?" "She did." "I would never risk hurting anyone with my powers grandmother." Rey said honestly. "You wouldn't but you are not sure." "I killed three human people today , I could have stopped that but I didn't." "People like us do not get angry." "Why not?" Rey furrowed her eyebrows. "Because there would be repercussions even destiny cannot change." She stated. "You are going to make a lot of mistakes but you will learn." Rey quietly listened to her grandmother's worrisome statement and that moment she wished that being a queen just came with a scripted manual, something she could follow and be sure to get it right but that wasn't the case, she had to undergo the worst life stages with two curses following her and everything that was happening in her life so she looked intently at her grandmother. "I can feel it from inside, the darkness, I felt it for some time back home and in the human earth too, I can feel that something isn't right with my heart, it's not the same anymore." Then she revealed. "It's like it's not mine anymore." She added. "The curse imprinted on the reigning Queens was not supposed to hurt anyone but be the end of them if they couldn't handle it, your's came a little too early." Her grandmother explained. "You need to do everything you can to defeat this darkness." She reached our for Rey's hand but for some reason she couldn't touch it. "What you are going to do next will take a turn for you, that's how you will understand how massive this curse is." "What's happening grandmother?" "You will need your fiancé to bring back everything. Get Eyken to come to you." She continued totally avoiding Rey's question. "I don't anderstand what is happening right now." Rey said trying to get hold of her grandmother's hand. "Your future as Queen will be seen with how you will handle the repercussions of one of our own at the end of it all." "Can you just say things that are making sense now?" Rey begged. "Why can't I hold your hand?" "There has been a shift between the link that connects all the Vastens because of the impact of your choices today and also because of the darkness that continues to rise in you. Your heart the purest of them all is crumbling, piece by piece." Stunned by her grandmother's statement Rey opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out, she watched tears streaming from her grandmother's cheeks and she just couldn't handle it anymore, she felt hers too, everything inside her repeatedly told her it was all her fault and she knew that she just didn't need a reminder of any of the things she had done and as she slide on her chair, her eyes at her grandmother she felt the pearcing pain right inside her heart and she knew exactly what had happened had been experienced by everyone she shared the same blood with. The reddish-brown color in your eyes happens when you get angry or to alert you of something you have no control of fire and air symbolises the most powerful people in generations and generations to come but when death happens that's how you feel  them all, their pain and their joy all at the same time, you are not immune to mistakes just because you are a Princess keep that in mind. Rey breathed heavily recalling what her grandmother had said minutes after she mentioned that she had never meant to take away the lives of the three human people.
