The Alpha's Rare Mate

My father has moved us to some new town in New Orleans, and decided this would be a good place for me to try and move on with my life. You see my mother passed away a few years ago and I have kind of shut myself off from other people since then. So once I graduated highschool I never really felt the need for college dad had enough money for me to stay and try to grieve my mother's death, so I did, and now I'm 20 years old and he says it's time, but strangely enough this is Mom's hometown and Dad said I have a curfew here because apparently there is a lot of wildlife that linger where we live at night. So here I am getting ready to go to my college orientation at the local community college here in town. I'm not really sure what to wear, I want to look decent for my first day but not over the top, so I'm going with a pair of black skinny jeans, and a emerald green top that's offsets my eyes, and lastly a pair of little black high heeled booties. " Arina! You're going to be late, let's go!", my dad was yelling from the stairs. I rushed out of my room and down the steps to see my dad already waiting by the open door signaling me to get a move on. I smiled at him and rushed out the door giggling on the way, I can't say I'm not excited, I don't know why but I have been this way all morning like butterflies. We got into the car and drove the 15 minutes from our house into town and on the drive there, I felt eerily creeped out like eyes were on me the entire time, I looked out the windows into the woods as we drove by and for a second I thought I saw a wolf running through the woods alongside the car, but when I looked back it was gone. It was huge! I didn't think they could be that large! " Dad?", I asked. " Hmm, what is Arina?", he said. " Do the wolves here get really large like about 7 to 8 feet on all fours?", I said. He stopped the car immediately, in the middle of the road, " Jesus dad what the hell!", I yelled. "Did you see a wolf like that Ari?", Dad asked. I was starting to get scared now because he used my nickname he never does that. He was staring at me intently now his entire body was turned to me in the seat. " Yea dad I think I just saw one running in the woods that's why I asked is something wrong?", he just shook his head and turned to continue driving down the road. I stared at him the entire time and he just stared ahead, focusing on the road, once we got into town he said he was going to be late because he needed to meet a friend after work. So he dropped me off at the college and drove off, well damn guess I'm on my own till later. I pulled out my schedule and look it up and down trying to memorize so I don't look like a lost tourist pulling it out every five minutes. I started off to my first class, nature and animal studies and sat at the back of the lecture hall I pulled my laptop out of my bag and started making notes. The professor was a woman and her name was Ms. Summer, she was speaking about the habitats and habits of the different animals of the state, then the door opened up and through the bright light I couldn't see so I just looked back ahead at my laptop and continued with my notes. Through my peripheral vision I could see someone sit down a few seats down from me, and they smelled amazing! Like a sweet woodsy musk that just fills your senses, it was heaven. But I just kept to myself and continued my work as Ms. Summer was wrapping up I could feel eyes on me just like before in the car, the hair on the back of my neck stood on end. "Ms. Black, could you please come see me after the lecture?", Ms. Summer said, my head snapped up and I said a curt," Yes", in response. As I answered I heard a deep breath inhaled in the direction of the mysterious stranger I still haven't looked at. Once she dismissed the class I walked down the stairs to her desk and waited she walked over and offered me her hand, I shook it and then she sat down. " As I understand your mother was Daisy Black am I correct?", she said. Huh? Why does she want to know about mom? " Yes, that is my mother but what does that have to do with my studies?", I asked her. " I was her friend growing up and just wanted to let you know if you ever have anything to ask about her life before she met your father, don't hesitate to ask me I would love to talk about her with you and share some of our crazy teenage stories", Ms. Summer smiled at me warmly and inviting. " Thank you I appreciate that more than you know, I only know what she told me about this place which isn't very much so I may just take you up on that soon", I said and then nodded my goodbyes as she waved. I wonder who else mom was friends with around here seems like she was well liked at least. I was placing my things in my bag as I walked out of the door and bumped into a wall, well I thought it was a damn wall it didn't budge a bit even as I landed on my ass and my laptop ended up on the concrete shattering. "No!", I yelled. The wall leaned down and he was absolutely f*****g sexy, his ice blue eyes, short and styled jet black hair, and the aura radiating from him screamed dont f**k with me. He stared me down not saying a word as if he was memorizing my face," Um excuse me it was my fault I was looking at where I was going you don't have to help", his eyes widened just a little and he shook his head as if coming out of a daze. " Well of course I do, what sort of an ass would I be if I didn't help the beautiful woman I just knocked down", he said in a deep gravely voice. As I stared into his eyes I simply smiled and nodded my head dumbly for some reason I now couldn't speak. "My name is Wolf Walters what is your's?", he asked me. I cleared my throat the best I could and said," My name is Arina Black I just moved here with my dad and started at this college in town here", I replied. He nodded and said," A beautiful name for a beautiful woman, I'm so sorry I caused you to break your computer let me buy you a new one, once your classes are over I will come find you", he said. I quickly shake my head no," What! that's insanely unnecessary, there really is no need to do that it was my fault seriously", I started to babble off like a crazed highschool girl. Wolf chuckled and said your definitely new here it's not a big deal for me really, plus I want to gives me an excuse to talk to you again", then Wolf winked at me and turned as he walked away with the broken pieces and threw them away as he went down the hall. " See ya later beautiful!", Wolf yelled out. Great now I'm blushing! The butterflies are back, oh my goodness he was f*****g hot! But how will Dad feel about this, so what I'm grown I can go out with a man if I want to, I will just text him and let him know. I get out my phone and start down the hall to my next lecture it's animal anatomy, I send a quick text to dad on my way. Me: Hey dad I met a really nice boy and we bumped and I broke my laptop he has offered to buy me a new one his name is Wolf Walters and he offered to take me after classes. Dad: Ok hunny I'm gonna be running late anyway, if possible see if they can drop you at home, be safe, use your safety kit if you have to. Me: Ok dad love you, you be safe too Dad: love you too sweetie A grin appears on my face well damn that was easier than I thought it would be, dad had been really letting loose the reins here lately.
