Party Time

Lathan and I arrived at the party, and the music was already blaring. The house was packed with people, and finding our friends took us a while. Jordan and Marcus were already dancing.

"Hey!" I yelled over the music.

Jordan turned to me and smiled. "Hey, girl! I'm so glad you made it!"

"Yeah, me too," I said, smiling back. "This is actually really fun."

Jordan grinned. "Is fun Winter coming out to play?"

I laughed. "You're one to talk! You're the queen of parties."

Jordan shrugged. "Well, I do like to have a good time."

Looking around, I said, "Speaking of good times, have you seen Alex around?"

Jordan lifted her head to look around, "Yeah, he's here. He's with Jennifer. His girlfriend."

I shrugged, trying to play it off. "It's fine. I'm over him. Besides, I have Lathan now."
