Her Voice

chapter 2

After i was done showering i went downstairs to have breakfast with the family , on my way there i could hear the laughter and joy radiating from my uncle's  family members and there i was going to just sit and listen to my family while they celebrate and talk about their daughter's wedding... Dont get me wrong , i love my uncle's family but i cant help but feel like a burden to them ,i mean their daughter is about to get married and they are stuck with me forever because its obvious that no man would want to marry a mute like me .... Dont feel sorry for me because i have made peace with it , i have made peace with the fact that no one will ever want me and the fact that i will forever remain mute ...

i entered the dining hall and sat next to Dainah she is my beautiful cousin who will be getting married to Prince Carl of Karee .. Dainah deserves all the happiness in the world and she and Carl are high school sweethearts , they have been together for 5 years and its  about time they got  married .. my cousin gave me one of her brightest smile and her brother Mike AKA my best friend  stood up and hugged like his life depended on it and gave me the most mischievous grin that told me he was planning something big .. Mike is going to be king someday but the boy is trouble ... Believe me i know that he is going to make an amazing king someday ..

After breakfast Mike came to me , he looked at me with his puppy eyes so that i can yes(i mean nod) to whatever he wants  me to do " so i want us to go to the forbidden lake and see it for ourselves'' thats exactly what mike said ...  i looked at him like he was crazy cause he might as well be , " i know that look Athena but i am not crazy , next year this time i will be king and i just want to have  some crazy adventures with my cousin s***h friend... please just one last adventure for the summer'' he said while pouting and i could help but shake his hand as a way of saying its a deal ... i also want to spent some time with him and have memories with my best friend ...   when i am with him i dont have to say a word (not like i can) because he understand me .. just one last adventure for the summer ...
