Elizabeth woke up to see Sawyer was ready to leave, with the cat sat patiently in her carrier. “What time is it? How long do we have until we have to check out?” “Ten minutes.” “Seriously? Why didn’t you wake me up sooner?” “You needed the rest.” “You were the one who needed rest, that’s why we came here in the first place!” “I got more than enough rest. I don’t need as much sleep as you do.” She got dressed as quickly as she could so they were out on time, and stood beside him with her arm wrapped around his waist while he paid for the room.
