“Cat, can I show you my room here too?” Kylie asked after lunch. Cat was sufficiently stuffed with Shrimp Scampi Pasta. Everything was delicious and she told Rita so before she followed Kylie to her room.
Ryder helped Rita clear the plates then dried while she washed everything. “She’s lovely, Ryder,” Rita said once Cat and Kylie were gone. “And Kylie seems to like her too.”
“Yeah, Mom, she’s great.”
“You really like her, don’t you, Ryder?”
“I do, Mom. It sounds crazy, but I could see being with her forever.”
“That’s not crazy, Ryder. Sometimes you just know when it’s right. Don’t let some crazy opinion about what’s right decide what’s right for you. Only you and Cat know how you feel. I think she’s good for you.”
