My inner voice could still utter those words, though I don't know why; I couldn't understand it either.
The sound of Anggie’s cries and the commotion of the crowd were no longer audible. Suddenly, I felt a profound silence in a very dark place.
"Where is this? Is this the realm where all souls are gathered before the Day of Judgment?" I asked in confusion, with darkness stretching as far as I could see.
"They say when you die, you will meet God, but why can’t I find Him here? Could it be that I took the wrong path and ended up in Hell?" I guessed, horrified at the possibility of such a fate.
I then remembered the sins I committed during my life, especially those I committed with Anggie.
I used to think it was normal to engage in such immoral acts as a couple; after all, it was a common thing for everyone.
And just as I became more absorbed in my own sins, suddenly a light began to draw me out of that dark place.
"Eh, what’s happening? Am I allowed to enter Heaven now?" I asked so naively, hoping that God would take me there since I had repented for my sins.
However...
I couldn't feel Heaven at all after being drawn by that light.
‘What’s happening? Why am I feeling darkness again?!’ my mind questioned in confusion.
“I’m sorry, Madam. The young master’s condition is very critical. I can’t save his life.”
“Please help me, Doctor. I don’t want to lose Brian. Brian is the only family I have.”
“I understand your grief, Madam. But the young master’s condition is beyond help now, as the poison has spread so aggressively through his body. Even an imperial sorcerer might not be able to save him in this state.”
“Hu... Hu... Hu... Forgive me, my dear. I failed to keep my promise to take care of Brian... Hu... Hu... Hu...”
“I must take my leave now, Madam. It’s already very late.”
“Please, Doctor. I will escort you to the gate.”
I could hear the recent conversation very clearly; it seemed there was a doctor and a woman discussing the treatment results of a man named Brian.
‘Wait a minute! How can I hear human voices again? What’s happening here?’ my mind wondered, and I gathered the courage to open my eyes.
“Holy crap! Where am I? Why am I in a luxurious room?!” I exclaimed in shock as I took in my surroundings.
I quickly got up from my lying position, feeling my body while looking around.
“It can’t be! I can’t be alive again, right? I should be dead after being shot by that big bastard.”
“Anggie... I need to find Anggie immediately. She must not fall into the hands of evil people! I have to save her.”
I moved without realizing it, my thoughts still focused on Anggie, wanting to see her again.
Honestly, I still thought I was in the same world with Anggie, believing I had been saved and was now being cared for by some wealthy person.
After all, I regained my consciousness in a luxurious room; if not a wealthy person who saved me, then who else?
However, my steps halted immediately when I passed by a large mirror in the room, and I stood frozen, unable to speak.
I saw myself reflected in the mirror, and my shock grew even greater. I almost screamed loudly if I hadn’t covered my mouth with my hand.
“W-What happened? W-Who am I? W-Why have I become a teenager again?!” I asked as I walked closer to the large mirror. I was utterly confused about my own condition.
I saw a handsome young face in the mirror's reflection, with red hair and an athletic body about 170 cm tall.
Even so, I could tell that this person was still very young, perhaps only fifteen or sixteen years old.
I pondered for a long time, trying to think as rationally as possible to understand my current condition.
“OH MY GOD! I’VE BEEN REINCARNATED INTO ANOTHER PERSON!!!”
