A few moments earlier. “Are you sure you want to give that young man a chance at life? Wouldn't this be breaking another God's rule?” “Take it easy, I have the right to do so since he's the one I gave a second life to in the first place. After all, he deserves it after fighting to the death to protect others.” “But we still haven't retrieved her memories? Then, she also has powers that no ordinary human should have. I'm worried that she might abuse that power someday.” “That's fine, I intentionally gave her those two blessings to help her survive in that world. You should already know how harsh life is there, right? Not to mention there's still the threat of the demon king that could come at any time. Huh, I'm honestly worried that the world will be destroyed if I don't send her there.” “Sir, could it be that you intend to make this man named Bastian a hero? You want him to kill the demon king over there?” “Not really, I just want to repair that world from the hands of foolish humans who are always hungry for wealth and power. Take a good look, aren't the humans there too arrogant by oppressing other races?” “Yes, sir. They always feel the most perfect thanks to the power they have so they don't care about the situation around them. I think it's time for them to realize the devastating effects of their greed.” “You finally realized that this was my original intention in sending Dimas' soul into Edward's body. Well, hopefully the young man will never disappoint me. Otherwise, it would be a waste for me to give him the power of a God's Eye that can be used to create and learn anything.” The conversation took place in the God realm, a place where the Gods gathered to govern their respective worlds. It seemed that there was a God who had been kind to Bastian, so that the young man could live again in the body of a young man named Edward. *** Back inside Edward's room. “You have to calm down, Dimas. It's probably a blessing that you can live again after dying. Calm down, breathe, calm down, ....” I tried to stabilize my emotions after knowing this truth, it was useless to continue to be surprised too because everything could not be changed anymore. “Ok! I have to find a way to get out of this room, I can't let Anggie suffer,” I muttered as I opened the large curtains that covered the window. However, I gasped as soon as I saw the scenery outside the window, there was nothing I could see but the darkness of the night and the small lights that could be seen far away from this room. Thunder! Thunder suddenly struck right in front of this room's window, indicating how high up this room was, I did feel that way at first glance because there was no way thunder could come down this close. “Could it be that this room is on the top floor?” I guessed. I abandoned the idea of leaving this place for the time being, and tried to find out more information. After all, it was uncomfortable to live in someone else's body, fearing that there were secrets or something that the previous owner of the body had. I walked back and forth in the room while thinking again, occasionally I glanced at the mirror and still didn't recognize Edward's figure. “What's wrong with you, Edward? You have a very handsome appearance, your body is also athletic. But, why did you choose to kill yourself with poison?” I asked myself, who knows if Edward would reply later. I then sat on a chair near the study table after pacing around for a long time, I found this table because there was the brightest light compared to other lights. By the way, I just realized that there are no lights or electricity here, all the light comes from large firefly-like animals. I opened one of the containers that held the firefly-like animals, but instead I was sprayed with fart gas that smelled very strong in my nose. “What is this book? Why is it so thick?” I asked, carefully opening the book in question. “Uh what are these letters? Javanese characters? Thai letters?” I confused myself after seeing the writing on the first page of the book, I continued to open up to several sheets and found that they all had the same letters. “How can I get information if I can't even read the letters? Huh, what a hassle,” I muttered as I flipped through the thick book. “Wait a minute, if I'm in another world, I should have great powers, right? Yes, yes, yes... I must have it,” I muttered again after remembering something about otherworldly-themed anime. I quickly put down the thick book, then walked to the center of this very spacious room. I tried the magic like in the anime, “Fire explosion magic, Explosion!!!” I shouted excitedly afterwards. But nothing happened afterward, nor could I feel any magic power on my body. “Megumin's fire magic is too difficult, I'll try something easier,” I muttered, deliberately mentioning one of my favorite Anime characters. “Water magic, water shots!!!” I shouted again still with the same enthusiasm. “Earth magic, rock bullets!!!” “Wind magic, wind blade storm!!!” And so on until I mentioned all the types of magic I've seen in Anime. But, nothing happened other than me running out of sound from yelling. “s**t! It's useless for me to shout until my voice runs out, this world is probably still the same world as where I lived before, it's just that this room is too strange,” I grumbled to myself, unconsciously touching the big book again with my right hand. “I really want to be able to read this book, I swear I'm really curious about its contents,” I said hopefully. For some reason I seemed to have a strong attachment to that thick book, which required me to read it thoroughly. My right eye was suddenly tingling at the moment, then a lot of strange letters and numbers pushed their way into my mind, it was quite painful because all that knowledge collided with my own. “What happened to me just now? My head really hurts like it was stabbed by hundreds of needles,” I muttered while touching the back of my head with my left hand, while my right hand opened the thick book again. “Oh, it turns out this is a diary, no wonder it's so thick,” I said unconsciously. “Eh? How can I read this writing now?!” I squealed in disbelief, I looked at the first page again and read slowly, ”Edward Von Zippel's diary. I will write down all my life experiences in this book from now on. The most horrible life experiences that I can never tell anyone about.” ...
