The Tale Of Beginnings
In the beginning, their was only cold, empty darkness that whirled around the Earth. No stars, no Sun, just a dark, dead planet. One that would never be able to create life.
But the Earth soon found hope when six magical beings appeared in it's universe. They were gods. Each with a unique and extraordinary power. Together, their power cleared the darkness and cold from the atmosphere and created a new type of planet, one that flourished with nature and beauty.
Even though the God's creation was remarkable, they still felt like something was missing. They were lonely and wanted something new. So they created life itself.
They started small, with insects and animals, each one as unique as the people who made them. Each breed with different abilities and skillsets. It wasn't long after, when humans were invented. At first they were simple, weak and not very bright, but with some help from their creators, they soon became an intelligent, powerful and civilized species.
A century passed and Humans had fought their way through the food chain, only the Gods were more powerful then them. Humans worshipped the Gods, each one had at least one shrine that Humans would pray to, some even became servants of the almighty beings.
Each God was different in their own way, so naturally, Humans would choose to serve under whichever God they liked the most. The Human race became divided into five categories:
The ones who worshipped Thelias, the God of Light, who had created the Sun and stars to lighten up the world, who had made a thin barrier over Earth's atmosphere to keep dangerous things out. Many said his barriers were invincible, only to be broken when the God wanted them to be. It was rumored he could foresee the future, Humans often went to him to seek wisdom.
There were the ones who served Kalama, the Goddess of Flames, who had created fire to warm the Earth. With a hot temper and burning orange eyes, she was nicknamed The Flaming Phoenix. Despite her bad attitude, her bravery and skill on the battlefield attracted many worshipers, seeking to fight alongside her.
Some Humans worked for Alizeh, the God of Wind and Ice. Despite his cold power, he was very social and loved to talk. Though if angered, well he froze an entire army who had trespassed on his land. Many made sure they stayed on his good side.
The God who most humans adored was Kalani, the Goddess of Water. Although she was the weakest of the six gods, her beautiful features made her the most popular. Sixty percent of her worshipers were men. Single. Men. The Goddess had never entered a battlefield before, as she hated violence, no one had ever seen her in action.
The ones who served Mahroh, the Goddess of Nature, often lived in the forest and out of the cities. Mahroh often fought with hunters and city mayors about the way they treated nature. Which often ended in bloodshed. Mahroh hated a lot of humans, so getting to work for her was a rare. The Goddess stays hidden deep in forests, protecting both animals and plants from the human species.
And although there is another God, no human ever worshipped him, all of them hated him. Because the last God was Nicholas, the God of Death. He was the most powerful of the Gods and feared because of it. But the cause of the humans hate was from Nicholas's power. He had created death to keep the world from collapsing under over-population. Many humans believed his power was not needed.
During this time, a horrible plague swept through the earth, it rotted the human's lungs, giving them a slow and painful death. Both Gods and humans alike believed that the source of the sickness came from Nicholas, they believed he had finally snapped and taken revenge on the humans who had hated him.
So one day, each of the Gods and their servants charged Nicholas's shrine, they burned his rooms and robbed his safes. Nicholas knew that though he could kill every person that had attacked his peaceful home, it would only cause more hatred and violence. So he lied and took responsibility for the Plague that killed so mercilessly. The Gods created a prison cell, deep within the earth, covered in wards and spells. they locked him in the cell and left him to rot.
For three thousand years, Nicholas's name had faded into the generations, everyone had forgotten about him, his only proof of existence was in the lying stories they wrote about him.
Until one day...
When he escaped.
