The sloppy one

"We're going home now, Ivy!" Sean pulled his wife towards the corridor that led to the exit from the hospital. Past Quinn, who was sitting quietly watching the children and babies queuing up in the pediatric ward, "But Sean-" Sean's grip on her hand tightened, his eyes glaring angrily at his wife. "I'm your husband; can't you just listen to me a little, Ivy?" Sean's hasty steps stopped right in front of Quinn. "You know the way home, right?" "Yeah, I-" "Here! Take a cab home; my wife and I have important business." Sean reached into his wallet and handed Quinn a hundred-dollar bill. The girl gasped and quickly stood up. She didn't understand why the husband and wife looked equally tense. "But sir, this is too much. But don't worry, I'll return the rest!" Quinn shouted quite loudly as Sean and Ivy walked quickly, leaving her in the corridor. Quinn's loud shout had made several people there stare at her. "Miss, please lower your voice. Don't yell in the hospital!" Quinn bit her lip and scratched her itchy head. "Sorry," she said as she waved at the nurse standing in front of a room. *** "Sean, we can't leave Quinn like that; she's new in town. What if she gets lost? Or kidnapped?" Ivy tried to get out of the car that Sean was already in. "Shut up, Ivy!" snapped Sean as he hit the steering wheel. "Now is not the time for you to think about that girl. What you should be thinking about now is how to get you well soon so we can realize our dream of having a child soon." "Sean, didn't you hear what the doctor said earlier?" Yes, I did, and the doctor said that you can still be cured." "Sean-" "Ivy, please shut up! Just shut up and do what I say!" Sean shouted loudly and harshly, and Ivy hushed in fear. Sean had never been this rude. Sean then drove the car to a place that Ivy could already guess. "Where are you taking me?" "To my mom's house." "Sean I don't want to!" "It's not an offer, Ivy, it's an order! I'm your husband, and you have to listen to me." "I said I don't want to go to your mom's house. What are we going to do there anyway?" "We're going to tell my mom the truth about the situation," Sean hissed, making Ivy's heart nearly leap out of her chest cavity. "Put me down now; stop the car!" "If you're going to tell your mom about my illness, then I'd better die, Sean!" Ivy tried to open the car door as the car was speeding down the highway. "Just let me die, Sean!" "Ivy, stop!" Sean screeched as he pressed the brake pedal. "Stop!" The sound of the luxury car's tires screeching along with Sean's sudden brake Several cars behind him also stopped, and their drivers swore at Sean in annoyance. "Asshole! Don't you know how to drive a car properly?" Said one of them, and Sean replied to them by nodding while saying an apology. He slowly took a deep breath before putting both hands on the steering wheel again. "Ivy, get in the car. We can't just stop on the highway." But the troublesome woman walked on regardless of Sean's shouts. "Ivy, you are too much!"Sean muttered in exasperation. Sean started the engine once again and drove the car to a more secluded part of the street. He parked the car, opened the door, and got out, walking after Ivy. "Ivy, let's get back in the car," Sean requested. Ivy, who had been walking, finally stopped. Her arms folded in front of her chest, her eyes looking at her husband, she said, "I don't want to, Sean. Go to your mom's house. Tell your mom everything, but be prepared, because today will be the last day you see me." Ivy threatened. She had to admit that she felt bad for acting like that, but she knew Sean wouldn't give up until she did what he wanted. It would be stupid to even try to talk sense into him. Sean took a step towards Ivy and grabbed her arm harshly, pulling her closer to him. He leaned forward to whisper into her ear, "Don't you dare do anything stupid or leave me, Ivy. Have you forgotten your promise?" They looked at each other for a few seconds and asked, "Do you still love me, Sean?" "If so, please listen to me; I don't want to tell your mom about this. Give me time to think." "I-" "I'm not prepared for the humiliation your mother might have for me later." "Ivy," Sean said, grabbing a strand of Ivy's hair and tucking it behind her ear. His hands were now on his wife's cheeks. "Trust me, that won't happen, honey. I'll make sure my mom doesn't hurt you." "Sean, please, give me some time. At least for me to calm down because the test results were quite upsetting." He kissed Ivy softly on her lips and said, "Ivy, I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Forgive us." He held her shoulders and pushed her against his chest. "I'm sorry, honey, but I need you to trust me on this, okay?" "Of course, but-" "Good, so we will keep this between us for a while, and then I'll convince mom to help us." *** "Taxi!" Sorry, miss, I can't; just find another taxi; that place is too far!" The taxi driver waved a hand at Quinn. "Alright thanks!" Quinn waved back while swearing. "Damn it!" This was already the third taxi that refused to take Quinn to district six—Barbara's house—which turned out to be a very long distance from the hospital location. As Quinn stood there for almost an hour, a sudden drizzle fell slowly onto her hair. Quinn raised her head, staring at the black cloud that was already hanging as if it were about to fall. "Don't rain; come on," she hissed. Water fell from the sky heavily in just a matter of seconds. Not wanting to get wet, Quinn was forced to run back into the hospital while covering her head with her hands. She was in such a hurry that she didn't notice the slippery floor in front of her. Before she managed to regain balance, she slipped, falling directly on top of someone, sending both of them falling straight into the ground. "s**t!" Quinn screamed. She scrambled off the body of the person she had tripped over to find that the person underneath her was a man. A handsome man, whose hair was wet and who stared at her wide-eyed, breathing heavily. Quinn froze, her face flushed with embarrassment. "Uhm, hi..." Quinn grimaced mischievously as she stood up—or rather, moved away from the handsome man's body. Her face was flushed red. "Oh no..." Quinn muttered as she saw her wet clothes clinging to her skin, accidentally revealing her strikingly colored bra. "Are you okay?" The man asked as he lifted himself off the ground. Quinn could smell the faint scent of musk as the man brushed his wet blonde locks from his forehead, revealing a pair of beautiful green eyes that caught Quinn off guard.
