Cold but Hot

It was raining heavily that morning in the city. The black clouds hung in the sky, and thunder and lightning rang out. Quinn was extensively staring at the water flowing down the glass wall from top to bottom. It was only seven o'clock, but she had already done a lot of work, including mopping five floors. She was currently cleaning the lobby but had paused to stare at the gloomy scene outside. "Huh, I'm so tired," she muttered as she dipped the mop into the water that had turned murky. Tap, tap, tap... Just as she finished mopping the corridor half the size of a football field, a man came running toward the elevator from the automatic doors. However, that was not the case, but rather the shoes he was wearing carried a lot of mud and left marks on the floor. Reflexively, Quinn shouted angrily, "stop!" she screeched, stopping the scruffy-looking man who was about to enter the elevator. "You called me?" the man asked. "Yes, you are!" Quinn walked closer to the man. "Look!" Quinn roared as she pointed at the dirty shoe marks behind the man. "Yeah, I see, so what's the problem?" the man snapped. "What did you say? You asked me what the problem is!" "Do you know, sir, I just mopped the entire floor in this lobby? My sweat hasn't even dried yet, and you're already making the floor dirty again? Where are your feelings, sir? Can't you take off your shoes before coming in? And look at your appearance, my God, sir, you look like a mess. How many days has it been since you've showered?" Quinn took a few steps back after smelling the odor emanating from Sean's body. Reflexively, Sean raised his arms and kissed his armpits to ensure he wasn't as smelly as the strange girl in front of him said. "Are you done? Now get out of my way, stay out of my way. I'm going into the elevator!" "No way, you have to take responsibility for all this. Look what chaos you've made!" Quinn didn't flinch. "What do you mean?" Sean scratched the back of his neck. He didn't understand how there could be employees who didn't recognize him. Was it because he hadn't been appointed president director yet that many lowly employees didn't know who he was? "Here you are!" Quinn threw the mop into Sean's hand. "You have to take responsibility! Clean up the chaos you've made!" "No way! You shouldn't waste my time, and I must go to my room!." "So, are you trying to run away from me?" Quinn said. Not to be outdone, the girl fearlessly forced the six-foot-tall man to clean the floor. "Who are you? How dare you tell me what to do?!" Sean was distraught. "I am indeed a new employee here. But that doesn't mean you can bully me!" She pressed her lips together, her tiny body and low height looking adorable. "Mr. Sean, sorry I'm late." Clara adjusted her glasses and ran straight to the man who was still arguing with the janitor. "You're not late, Clara. You came right on time." "Do you know her?" Sean asked Clara, pointing at Quinn with his chin. "No, is she a new employee?" Clara looked Quinn up and down. "Yes, ma'am, I am indeed a new employee," Quinn replied flatly. "What's going on? Mr. Sean, why are you holding the mop?" Clara furrowed her brow, curious. "That girl told me to clean up the mess!" Sean pointed out the mud marks on the floor. "Please explain to her who I am," he ordered. "Hey you, what's your name?" "My name is Quinn, Quinn Russell." "Quinn, do you know who this man is?" Of course, the girl replied with a shook his head. She had no clue who the man was. Now the man is looking at her, full of annoyance. "Nope! I don't know him." "Quinn, so he's a son of the owner of this company! Mr. Sean Osbert Junior." Clara squealed loudly. Hearing Clara's utterances, Quinn's face suddenly turned deathly pale. The man with an unkempt appearance and muddy shoes was the son of the owner of the company she worked for! Quinn held her breath, feeling like she wanted to melt into the floor or disappear from there because she was so embarrassed. she didn't know where to put her face. Not only was it discomfiting, but this incident could have gotten her fired on the first day of work. "Why are you tight-lipped, Quinn? Do you still want to tell me to mop this floor?" asked Sean with chattering teeth. "I-I...." Quinn was eager to answer, but her guts instantly shrank. "Take this, and clean the floor quickly!" Sean shouted angrily. "Then meet me in my room on the 29th floor!" Sean, who was in a bad mood, could no longer retain his anger. "S- sir, are you going to fire me?" Quinn stammered. Sean, who had already stepped one foot into the elevator, instantly stopped. "It depends!" he replied with a grin. "Clara, come with me!" he ordered Clara, who was staring at the elevator. The woman in the purple dress immediately ran after her boss' footsteps.
