Chapter 28The library was about to close in an hour. It was mostly empty. A few students quietly clacked away at the computers on the first floor. Tina lazily stared out a window as the daylight faded. A familiar voice greeted her.
“Hello. I have an appointment with Christina Daniels.” Tina looked over to see Mondo standing at the counter.
“Yes, hello again,” she replied nonchalantly. “Follow me.”
Although most of the study rooms were empty, they walked to the one that was farthest away. They closed the door and sat down. Mondo pulled a computer out of his bag and set it up. He also pulled out a walkie talkie and handed one of its connected earbuds to Tina. They put on the earbuds and turned on the radio. “Check, check. One, two, three, four, over.”
