The Hidden White Wolf

Shifting Party Time

I woke up at 8 AM. Spa time is from 10-11:45 AM. Then we need to be at the dress place by 12:30 PM. My mom yelled out to me. I have been ready for a while. I go running down the stairs. I ran past my mom, an aunt, and ran right out the front door.  My mother and aunt were chuckling regarding my excitement. “HURRY UP!” I yell towards them both. Confirming their laughter. I was excited everyone knew it. Today was going to be the best day ever. When we arrived at the spa we pulled into the driveway of a house. We all got out of the car “Were here” my aunt stated. When we got to the door my mom rang the bell. 

“Welcome to the Den, how can I help you?” “Luna Rose” the door clicked and my mom pushed it open. There were stairs in front of us and to the left a doorway into the kitchen. I followed them into the kitchen. There were 2 female wolves in there. They were both about 26 year old. Their name tags read Serenity and Page. We followed them through another doorway into a room. Everything you needed to make it a spa day was in this room. They had stuff for a facial, pedicures, manicures, massages and even a sauna! 

It was perfect, I couldn't have asked for anything better. When we were done there I felt like a whole new me. Completely refreshed and ready for tonight! 

When we got back to FireCove, we were greeted by Amay. She led us back to the spot we were yesterday. The huge mirror was a dressing room! The wall were white, with a brown bench on the wall. My dress was hanging on a hook. It was the most beautiful dress I've ever seen. I needed to try this dress on. I undressed and took the dress off the hanger. I held the dress up so I could take a better look at it. The top glistened in the light and put a small rainbows on the wall. I slipped the dress on and it fit damn near perfectly. 

It was just a bit long. I opened the door to the dressing room and stepped out. My mother and aunt just stare with their mouths open. “That's an easy fix.” Amay states. Almost like she can read my mind about the length. After changing back into my clothes I handed Amay my dress. And she informed me that she is going to be able to have the dress ready before the party. We left the dress shop and I was elated. We're only hours, not days away from the party.  I'll finally have my wolf and I'll be able to shift. We get back on the Pine Woods land and my mother was mind linked. I see my dad walk out of the house smiling. I look back at my mom she's smiling. “Ava-Marie, your surprise is in your room!” my eyes got huge, my surprise is here! I opened the door and ran as fast as I could to my dad and asked “what is the surprise?” This time he said “It's on your bed..” I took off and ran all the way up the stairs. I pushed my door open it was on my bed. Melissa…

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE!!??” I shouted. She jumped up “SURPRISE!!” I ran towards her and hugged her. This is the best surprise ever. I wanted my best friend here and now she is. 

This day is really turning out to be the best day ever. 

“How long have you known that you were going to be here for this?” 

“Since the day that you left. Your parents put this whole thing together.” 

“ What do you mean about this whole thing?” 

“Come let me show you what I'm talking about.” 

She grabbed me by my hand and pulled me up off the bed. We walked through the kitchen and right outside. That's when I saw it. Our whole pack was here. I knew this event was going to be big, but now we're talking almost 5000 people! I feel a tap on my shoulder and I jump. “Hey there kid.” I spin on my heels and see none other than Shawn.  “SHAWN!! You're here!! 

“You know I wouldn't miss this for the world.” The 3 of us laugh. I ask Melissa and Shawn if they’d like to watch a movie until it's time to get ready. 

They both agree “Lets watch a scary movie” Shawn says lifting his eyebrows up and down. “No scary movies. This is Ava-Marie's day, let's have her choose.” Melissa says looking at me begging for nothing scary. “Let's watch Suspiria. Dakota Johnson is in it and it's about witches. It does have a little spook factor to it.” 

Shawn and Melissa both agree. This movie had a little bit of something for everyone. We make our way into the living room. Shawn and Melissa both sit on the couch as I get the movie going. We sit together and start watching the movie in complete silence. We're all happy to just be here with one another. Right before the movie was over, there was a knock on my door. It was Amay, she had my dress in this white material bag, and a brown box in the other. “Hi Amay! What's in the box?” I ask making my way over to her. “Well with this beautiful dress you're going to need a pair of shoes right?” Oh my Goddess, I forgot shoes!! “Yes, I need shoes! Thank you, I don't know what I would have done without you.” Melissa jumps up "We need to start getting ready or we're going to be late. And the birthday girl, can't be late for her own party!”  “I'll find the boys so we can go get ready too.” Shawn says.

 My mom and aunt walk into the living room  “We're going to go to my suite, so there's plenty of room.” My aunt informs us. We make our way up stairs and into my aunt's room. After about an hour of hair and makeup, my look was complete. Shimmery eye shadow, a nude color lippie, mascara and a winged eyeliner. My hair was half up in a bun while the rest was in loose curls . Now it was time for my dress. 

Amay brought the bag over to the bed and laid it down. When she took the dresses out it took my breath away. Amay and Melissa helped me step into the dress. When we got it on, it fit perfectly. Now it's time for shoes. When she took them out of the box I squealed in joy. 

They were flats with the same stones on them that the top of my dress was. This was all more than I could have ever asked for. After I slipped them on I hugged Amay, as if my life depended on it. “Child, don't cry or you'll miss your makeup.” “I'm just so thankful, this couldn't have happened without you.” she gave me another squeeze before she pulled away.  

As I turned to look at my mom and aunt. My mom was crying. When she looked at me she said “my little girl isn't so little any more!” I went over and hugged her. “I'll always be your little girl mama! Now go get ready and we'll all go down together”

 Melissa walked over and handed me a box. 

“What's this?” 

“It's a gift, these will go perfectly with your dress.” I opened the box. 

“These are grey pearl earrings!?” 

“Yep! like I said, perfect with your dress.” 

“Thanks so much Melissa"

 She was wearing a dark blue knee high dress with spaghetti straps. And black flats. Her hair was similar to mine. I put the earrings on. They matched perfectly.

My mother is finally ready. She brings me a box. 

“Open it!” 

"Another gift?” 

“Well it's your birthday!” As I open it I see it's a beautiful silver necklace with a single diamond on it. 

“This was your grandmother's then mine, and now it's yours on your shifting ceremony.”

As my mother finished her sentence, a few tears fell. “This is a beautiful, Thank you!” 

”Oh no you dont!” my aunt shouted. “No crying, you’ll ruin all this.” as she motions to my face. 

“I told her the same thing” Amay chimes in as she heads to the door. “See you ladies down stairs.” 

Once everyone was satisfied, we head out the door. As we made our way down stairs my father, brothers and uncle were waiting at the bottom. My mother and aunt stood besides my uncle and father, Melissa stood besides Shawn and my brothers. As I came down the stairs everyone clapped. 

Soon the atmosphere started to change. Music playing and everyone was showing up. There were conversations going on inside and outside the pack house. Everyone was having a good time. So was I. I held a few conversations with pack members from my pack. I didn't know many people from my aunt's pack because it's been so long since I have been here. 

But that didn't stop me. I talked to a bunch of people. I saw Melissa at a table with Shawn, I approached the table and said “Let's dance!” I grabbed both of their hands and pulled them over to the dance floor. Being with my friends tonight was something that I had dreamed about as a young child.

After lots of dancing, and a few drinks later. My father and mother took the center stage. My father tapped on his glass until everyone got quiet. "Today we celebrate my oldest twins turning 18, they are also getting their wolves tonight. 

As per tradition we'll witness their first shift. Young Alpha Rob, and our amazing daughter Ava-Marie. My brother and I walked up to the stage. I stood next to our mother and my brother stood next to father. Every one lifted their glasses and cheered for us. I must have lost track of time because I didn't feel like I was dancing that long but I guess I was. The clock on the back great wall showed there was only 3 minutes left until midnight. I was about to explode. Everything started to go black and I grabbed onto my mothers arm. After about a second or so I was fine.

 I must have not eaten enough today. I stand up straight and hold my mothers hand. My father starts to count down from 10 to 1 everyone yelled “Happy birthday!” Then it happened. “Hi Ava-Marie in Ruby, your Wolf.  We're going to shift now. It might hurt a little.”

 "Okay thank you” 

“You're welcome, I will be here with you through the whole shift.” 

“Thank Goddess, I'm glad you'll be here with me." 

My brother and I stepped behind a curtain that only allowed the guests to see our shadow and not our bodies. I carefully took my dress and shoes off. I dropped down on all fours. I felt little hairs sprout over my body. My bones breaking, Shifting me. My snout grew and I can see white! I look down at my paws and I see white. I turned around walked towards where everyone could see me. As I pass the curtain, my father saw me first. His jaw dropped, he spun my mother around to look at me. 

Everyone gasped and a few people were whispering to each other talking about me. My mother encouraged me to walk further on the stage so everyone can look at me. The whole party erupted into cheers when my brother and I got back on stage.  He was grey and I was white. After shifting back

I went back to my mother and father. When my brother joined us we  all exited the stage.

 “You did great Ava-Marie.” 

“Thanks, you know talking to you in my head is going to take some getting use to.” 

“I understand” 

“Ruby? Will you know who my mate is before I do?” 

“Yes I will be able to smell them. Our mate will give off a scent that we could smell  and no one will smell like that except them.” 

“Okay that's good”

I said hello to a few more pack members and made small talk with some of the older pack members. My wolf started to prance around. She was getting antsy. 

“What's going on Ruby?” 

“I think our mate is close!" 

I perked up and started looking around to see if I could see who Ruby was sensing, but I couldn't. I ended up outside when Ruby could barely hold her excitement any more. 

“He smells like after a rain shower and crisp ripe apples." It was the most intoxicating thing I ever. When I left the party area and headed onto the field, and I spotted him. 

“MATE!” Ruby shouted. I walked towards his direction. As I got closer I could hear my mate talking to someone

“Listen Alex, I know we've been together for over a year, but you knew if I found my mate I was going to be with her.” 

“But I love you, LeLand! Don't you love me too??” 

“Yes, as a friend I love and care for you. But I'm not in love with you.” 

“Your an asshole!"

He has a girlfriend? He wants to give us a chance. I'm not happy he had a girlfriend. All of a sudden his head snaps in my direction. 

“Alex I have to go. I'm sorry” and jogs in my direction. He stopped in front of me. We both walked closer to each other. I wrap my arms around him and he does the same. Sparks felt like they were dancing off my skin. 

He pulls back from me and our eyes meet. 

“I'm Leland my father is the Beta of the Star Rise Pack."

"I'm Ava-Marie and I am the daughter of Alpha Ramiro of the Dark Woods pack.”

“Happy birthday, I was watching you when you shifted. You are very beautiful.'' I started blushing. And I could feel the mate bond. I also know that it won't be its strongest until we are mated. To complete the mating ritual we would need to have s*x and mark each other. I want to get to know him more first. 

Leland and I kept talking to each other. We were eager to get to know one another a little better. After about an hour I knew his middle name was Anthony, his last name was Andrews. His favorite color is green. He's almost 20, his birthday is 8/10/2001. He's the only child and his father is Beta of the Star Rise Pack. His mother died when he was 10 due to a rogue attack. And he has dark brown eyes, with a military style haircut.  

"I want to introduce you to my parents"

“Are you sure love? Are they going to like me?” 

“of course Le, they are going to love you!” I reassured him. I could tell he was nervous. I stood on my tip toes and kissed his cheek, and intertwined our fingers together. I could visibly see him relax. As we begin walking towards the house we hear “LeLand baby”  I already had a feeling it was Alex. When I saw her I could feel my blood boil. “This is our mate! Let her know who she is dealing with” Ruby said  “Can i help you?” I say to Alex  “I was talking to my boyfriend.” Alex replied, ignoring us standing together holding hands and my question. When she got an arms length away I stood in front of LeLand. “How about you go find another she-wolf’s boyfriend to steal you little slut!” 

As soon as those words left Alex's mouth I let Ruby take over. I was not one to fight but this was needed

“Excuse me Alex? I know LeLand told you that he has a mate and he doesn't want to be with you. You two never mated or were fated for that matter. Respect that and leave wench!” 

“How dare you talk to me like that! Do you know who I am?”

“As a matter of fact Alex we know who you are, but you don't know who we are. We are Ava-Marie and Ruby, white wolf and daughter of Alpha Ramiro. If you start anymore trouble with our mate you will be arrested, for trying to steal another wolf's mate. You will be sent to the dungeon until the council sees you. Then they will decide what your punishment is. GOT IT?” 

After a moment of silence, Ruby gave me back control. “You can leave the easy way or the hard way. Your choice” Alex’s jaw dropped. “LeLand you and your mate haven't seen the last of me! This isn't over!” She turned and stormed out of the party area. I turn and look at LeLand. 

“I'm sorry, I know she is your ex."

“Babe, i'm not mad. Honestly it turned me on to see my mate stand up for us." I couldn't help but to blush. He leaned down and gently placed his lips on mine. This was our first kiss! But before anything good happened we heard someone clear their throat.  “DAD! How long have you been standing there?” “Long enough to see my only daughter kissing a wolf I have never met.”

“Dad this is LeLand my mate, and this is my dad Alpha Ramiro.” “Hello Alpha, it's nice to meet you.” LeLand says as he reaches his hand out to shake my fathers. 

My father reached out his hand and shakes LeLand's 

“Please call me Ramiro. Your family now, so no need to be so formal.” 

“Dad, I'm going to introduce LeLand to the rest of the family. Do you know where mom and Aunt Rose are?” 

“I believe they are in the kitchen.” 

“Thanks dad” 

“ No problem sweetheart”

I grab LeLands hand tighter to keep him close to me as we go past pack members, towards the house. As we get close I can hear laughing.

“Rose, don't you remember what it was like when you met Brian?” 

“Oh yes I do, he chased me around for days, telling me that I was the most beautiful thing he's ever seen. On my birthday found out he was my mate. And within that week we were mated and marked each other.” 

“Well Rob found his mate. Alex I think her name is. and I bet by tonight they will be mated” I stopped dead in my tracks. Alex? As in LeLands ex?  What is going on? Something isn't right. We walk into the kitchen. 

“Mom? Aunt Rose?  I want you to meet LeLand, he is my mate.” 

“Oh my Goddess you too?? This is wonderful!” my aunt squeals. 

“ Hi LeLand im Luna of Pine Woods Pack but you can call me Aunt Rose!” LeLand smiled at her.

 My mother, I knew she was going to play a game of 20 questions with LeLand. 

“Where are you from?”

“Star Rise Pack ma’am”

“How old are you?”

“I’m almost 20 years old”

“What are your intentions with my only daughter?”

“I want to get to know her. I know that we are mates but I want to know my mate. I want to treat her like the queen that she is.”

“That is what I wanted to hear! I am Luna of the Dark Woods Pack but you can call me Lindsey or Mom, whichever you prefer.”

I expected that questions from my father, not my mother but I felt like my father had a whole talk of his own to be had.

“Mom? Can you link the boys? I'd like to introduce LeLand to them as well. “

“Sure honey! Rob also found his mate, so you both can introduce them together, then we'll do a formal introduction of your mates to the rest of the pack!”

“Okay mom, sounds good.”

 After about 5 minutes Rob, RC and RJ came to the kitchen. 

“Rob, where's Alex?” my mom asks

“She'll be right down.”

My brothers stood in a line, standing tall with their arms crossed in front of their chest. 

“LeLand this is Rob, Young Alpha of the Dark Woods Pack and my twin brother. And these two are RC and RJ. They are also twins. Boys this is LeLand my mate.” 

LeLand walked up to each of them and shook hands. By the time he got to RJ, Alex was  coming down stairs. And my suspicion was confirmed. It was my mate's ex Alex. 

“She's the next Luna of our pack? Somethings not right, do you smell that Ava-Marie?” Ruby asked me. 

“Yes Ruby I do smell that! What is it? It's not a rogue?!”

“IT'S MAGIC!!! This little b***h is using magic on your brother!”

Before Ruby can go feral, I block the mind link. I don't need her to come forward and tear this girl apart before I get answers. It's my brother's turn to introduce her to us. 

“Everyone this is Alex, future Luna to our pack and my mate. Alex this is my sister Ava-Marie, and these are our brothers RJ and RC. And you already know my mom and aunt.”

“ Hello everyone, it's so nice to meet you all!” 

Can you believe this actress really tried to me to hug me! 

“I've always wanted a sister!” she says out loud for everyone to hear. 

What a joke. I let her hug me and when I pulled her in really close I whispered to her “I know the truth!” and then I pulled away and gave her the biggest fake smile I could. You could see the worry in her eyes. I am going to expose this phony, lying b***h before mom introduces her to the pack. 

“Hey Rob? Why don't you and the boys go hang out with LeLand? 

“Sure Ava-Marie! 

I kissed LeLand before shooting him off with my brothers. 

“Alex, want to stay here with us girls and chat?” I asked her

“No, I'm going to let my friends know I found my mate and I'm the next Luna!”

“You go do that then!'' I said with a little more hostility than needed. 

 This wolf lied to our family, but I'm not going to let her get away with it. 

I watched Alex leave the kitchen, then I waited an extra minute or so until I was completely certain that she wasn't close enough to hear us talk. I turned fast back towards my mother and aunt. 

“Do either of you know what magic smells like?” My mother and aunt looked at me like I could go crazy. 

“Why do you ask that?” my aunt asks. 

“Well I know what a rogue smells like, but magic I don't know. And when Alex entered the kitchen she smelled different then before.”

“Before?  My mom inquires.

“Yes before. After I shifted Ruby my wolf could smell our mate. When we followed the scent we found him. But he was standing with Alex. he was telling her that his mate was here. And even though they had been dating she knew if he found his mate he would be with them. And she was not happy. Before getting her she said this isn't over. Then all of a sudden she is Robs mate? It doesn't seem right. And she didn't smell like this when she confronted us. Ruby says its magic and I just wanted to make sure.” 

My mother and aunt looked horrified. 

“Well sweetheart magic smells like frankincense and wet grass when a dark witch is involved. But if you smell lavender and patchouli that means there is a light witch involved.”

“Okay, you both need to know its not a light witch's magic.”

My mom puts her head in her hands. “We can't announce your mates to the pack until we figure this out. Don't say anything to Rob. I'm going to inform your father and see what he wants to do. I'll update you when I know something. Go, find your mate and talk to him. He might have information that can help us." 

“I'll link you when I have answers.”

I took off to find the boys. Of course it wasn't hard. They were all playing football. The after party will start soon. So I decided to sit here and watch them play for a bit an talk to Ruby about my wolf and what I can expect. 

“Hey Ruby? What the deal with me being a white wolf?"

“Oh so you let the block down?”

“I had to you were going to rip her apart, we need answers before we can do that”

“I guess you're right.”

“Thank you”

“Okay well being a white wolf means you have a direct connection the Mother Selene. You can talk to her just like you are talking to me. You also are immune to any magic meaning none will work on you. You are 10 times faster then any wolf. You also have a gift of visions. Though it has nothing to do with the white wolf. And if you are ever in a situation when you are surrounded we can stomp our front paws on the ground and radiate power to collapse any one that is standing in our way. And last but not least because you can mind link any wolf that you want. Whether they are from your pack or not! Ooh lets try it! Link LeLand! “

. “Why not. Let's try it!"

I close my eyes “LeLand? Nice move out their baby!"  As I look up LeLand looking directly at me. Not paying attention to what he was doing my brothers tackled him. I can't do anything but laugh. “You were right Ruby, that was funny!” 

After my little stunt the game was over. LeLand walked over to me. He kissed the top of my head and sat down. “Funny joke there princess.” I started to laugh again. “Ruby told me I could mind linking any one, so I wanted to try it. Did I scare you?”

“No, it was a nice surprise. I didn't think we could do that until we're mated.”  

I sit in silence for a minute. I really don't want to talk with LeLand about Alex but I have to.  Rob's life may depend on it. I know our pack does. 

“What is on your mind princess?”

“I need to talk to you about something important.”

“You can talk to be about anything”

“Did Alex ever play with magic?”

LeLand looked right at me. His face looked confused and worried.

“Why do you ask?”

“Because when she came down I could smell magic, well Ruby could. I asked my mother and aunt if they could tell me what magic smelled like and after they described the scent, I knew for a fact that is what I smelled. I think she had a spell done to make my brother think she is his mate.”

Leland pushes his hand, throws his hair and takes a deep breath. 

“When we were kids Alex told me that her cousin's mate was a witch.”

“Did she ever tell you her name?”

“Dominique”

“Do you know where we could find her?”

“Well when Alex and I started dating she moved to our pack so we’d be closer. I do know that she is from a sister pack to your pack called the Silver Sands Pack. I’m guessing that is where you will find Dominique.”

“Has Alex ever done magic around you?”

“When we were in our first month of dating she showed me a spell Dominique showed her. Alex was able to change her appearance at any time. That was the first and last time I ever saw her use magic."

“Can they mind link each other?”

“I believe so, because Dominique is mated to Alex’s cousin”

“Thanks babe, sorry I had to ask so many questions.”

“No problem sweetie, we need to keep our family safe.”
