The Hidden White Wolf

2 1/2 Hours Later

The scenery starts to change. Trees are becoming less so I know we're close. Training grounds are coming into view. I can see the park and some small cottages too. The whole place is so beautiful. Don't get me wrong my pack is as big and as beautiful but i think anytime you go away from home everything seems more beautiful than the last time you remember.

I turn to look at my brothers in the back of the car, and I see all 3 of them with their heads back, eyes closed and their mouths wide open. I turn back around with a smirk on my face and say aloud “The boys are catching flies again.” Mom quickly turns to look and you can hear a small giggle escaping her lips as she turns back. 

The car starts coming to a slow stop. 2 men about 6’ 5'' in all black. Jeans and a shirt with the sleeves cut off walk up to the car. Dad rolls his window and almost immediately both men greeted him “Alpha Ramiro, Luna Lindsey, Welcome to Pine Pack Border.” They introduced themselves as Jake and Mike. Jake's hair was in a small ponytail. You can see that he is a mated wolf. As for Mike he had a wolf tattoo on his upper left arm and no mate mark. My father said “ Thank you gentlemen. Please let Alpha Brian know we've arrived.” Mike's eyes went all glossy. That normally means their linking someone from their pack. Wolves are able to link their pack members and mates. Mike said “Alpha Brian is waiting for you and your family, Alpha Ramiro, at the pack house.”

The car started moving again as we made our way to the pack house. Once we reached the pack house Alpha Brian and Luna ROse, who also happens to be my Aunt and Uncle, My fathers brother in law and sister, were standing on the front porch. $ of their guards came to open our doors and help bring our belongings to our room for the weekend. We walked up to the house and everyone greeted each other with hugs and handshakes.  

A pack house is where you would let guests stay. In most pack houses that is where the Alphas, Betas, Gammas and house workers stayed. And this place was huge, a massive 4 story home with plenty of acreage to house all of their pack members. If I can remember correctly, the 4th floor is where the Alpha and his family lived. The Alpha and Luna's suite was the biggest of them all. It had a king sized bed. A huge bathroom that was black and gold. A his and hers sink, a soaking tub and a shower. The bedroom had a walk in closet that was as big as the kitchen down stairs. The room was colored with maroon and silver accents. They even had a small living room in their suite where there was a couch and a TV. There were so many channels that you could watch whatever you wanted. And for whatever reason if you didn't want to watch TV, they had enough dvds in there to go around their property twice! So there was no chance of ever being bored up there. They had extra bedrooms on that floor, 1 was for their child. His name was Archer. He was away at college and would be here for the party. I overheard my Aunt telling my mom that he will be here today. I really wasn't all that excited to see him considering the fact that the last time I saw him all he did was pick on me. The other rooms were for us. We always had our own rooms here on the fourth floor because we are family. They have their own rooms at our Pack house as well. It's just what we did. Family was everything to us. 

The 3rd floor was for Betas and Gammas. They were second and third in command when it came to the Alpha. Kinda like his right hand and left hand men. Alpha Brian's Beta was Tidwulf. They have been friends since they were kids. We all called him Tid for short. He is Mated to Morrighan. They don't have any pups of their own yet. The Gamma is Lyall. He is also a mated wolf to Ginger. They are expecting their first pup. They didn't want to know the s*x of the baby so it is going to be a surprise. 

The 2nd floor was where guests stayed when parties were held and they needed a play to crash. And the 1st floor was where the house workers lived, if they had families they would also live there with them. Also on the 1st floor was an extra large kitchen. It had a  black appliances, grey counter tops and white cabinets. The counter top was a J shape. And at the end of the J there were 4 stools.

 The floor was made up of dark grey stone. My mom said “that's so it's easier to clean if anything spills, or anyone makes a mess.” There were so many lights in the kitchen and at night when they are on, it looks like daytime. There was a light over the double sinks, 2 lights for the end of the counter. And some recessed light throughout the rest of the kitchen. There were also grey and white curtains that hung on every window on the first floor. 

Off the kitchen there was a dining room that could seat at least 50 pack members. Dark cherry oak dining table and chairs. Pine wooden floors with white walls with accents of grey/blue everywhere. The table had a Blue tablecloth on it, and in the center of the table there was a beautiful flower centerpiece. The flowers were red, orange, yellow and white, with some leafy pieces to tie it all together. It was stunning to say the least. 

The dining room also had a huge cherry wood staircase that led up to the living quarters. Also off the dining room was the opening to the living room. It was also a movie room that had a projector. There was a sliding glass door in the living room that led out to a beautiful stone patio, a grill that could hold 3 hogs if we wanted and a pizza oven. Then there was the pool and a pool house. The pool house had a changing room, pool table, bathroom, dart board, card table, tv and a couch. And behind it was 75 acres of land. Looking out at this instantly relaxed me. Im looking forward to getting to my room, changing into my swimsuit and having the best birthday weekend ever.  

I Let my Mom and Aunt Rose know that I was heading up to change and then going to jump in the pool. As I'm going up the stairs I started to think how it's been so long since we’ve been here. 4 years to be exact. And how once I turn 18 I'm never going to let that much time go in between visits again. I'm going to be spending a lot more time here. Little did I know how I thought I wanted more time here was going to change. 

I walk into my room. It's been my room since I was 8. I was in awe of how nothing changed here. It was like a time capsule. I dropped my bag on my bed, and started hanging stuff up in the closet and putting my toothpaste, toothbrush, and things like that into the bathroom. Once everything is away I grab my dark blue and white bikini that I bought just for this weekend and head to the bathroom to put it on. 

First I turn the tub on so that I can wet my hair. I always wet my hair down before I go in the pool. Then I braid my hair in 2 french braids like pigtails. This is so the water doesn't make my hair that knotty. And then I put on my suit and grabbed my beach towel and sandals. I head back down ready to get my relaxation on. Passing the kitchen and dining area where everyone is, I head out the sliding glass doors, right to the first lounge chair I see. I put my towel on the chair and turn and jump right into the pool. The pool was a weird blob shape, I'm guessing it's so they can fit more than just a handful of people at a time. There was a slide and its own waterfall with a cavern behind it. It was cool and refreshing. I swam up to the waterfall and let the water beat down on my back

After that 5 hour ride I needed it. My relaxing time was short lived. All of a sudden there was a huge splash followed by some laughter and yelling. I knew exactly what or should I say who it was. None other than my 3 fabulous brothers and their 3 friends from the pack Daniel who was a year older then me and Rob, and Remus and Oz they were both RC and RJs age.

Before I knew it there ended up being about 20 pack members that were jumping in the pool and using the slide.  So much for me relaxing. I decide to swim to the edge to get out, as I get closer to the ladder to exit the pool I hear my brother Rob yell “GRAB HER!” This sends me into a panic because I know what that meant. I felt hands around my waist and all the color drained from my face. Daniel, who is also a warrior of the Pine pack responds “I got her Young Alpha, what now?” 

My brother Rob was considered Young Alpha because he will take over for my dad when he retires. “Throw her in the water!” My brother commands, while laughing thinking that this is going to be a good show. He must have forgotten that I am also of Alpha Blood. I also had the “Alpha command” sorta speak. Before Daniel was able to complete my brother's task I said “Warrior Daniel, put me down and once! AND DO NOT THROW ME!!” Daniel shook his head and put me back in the water. 

I finished swimming over to the stairs and got out. Grabbed my towel. Once I got out some of the Pack members started to play chicken with each other. Instead of going inside I decided to lay in the lounge chair and enjoy the sun.  After about an hour of sun time, Aunt Rose sent a heartfelt message to all of us. “Dinner is going on the grill now and will be served in about 1 ½ hours!” The pack had a total of 1000 members, but only about 300 ate at the pack house. The rest of them would eat at their own homes.  Everyone who was here at the pack house cheered knowing that soon there will be food. Honestly I was so hungry and couldn't wait for dinner to be ready either. 

After a few minutes you could smell the grill was on and the pizza oven was going. I look towards the girl and see my father and Uncle Brian having a beer together as they manned the grill. Normally there are cooks that do this. But when families gather like this then men tend to cook on the grill, while my mother and aunt made things inside. I decided I wanted to help out a bit. So I wrapped my towel around me and walked over to my dad and uncle. “Hey Dad! Hey Uncle Brian! Can I help?” my Uncle Replies “Why don't you go grab some trays from inside for us so we can put the cooked food on as it gets done?” “Can you also grab 2 More beers us old guys?” my father jokes. “You bet I can!” “And Dad you guys are not that old!” I say. 

As I walk into the kitchen I say hi to my mom and aunt. “Do you guys need any help?” “I Have to run some things out to dad and Uncle Brian, but I’d love to help out?” They both smile so kindly at me. My mom answers “No honey, I think we're all set in here!” My aunt chimes in “But you can come hang with us and we can talk about the party if you want?!” “We asked Rob to give us some ideas on what he wanted, but all he said was good food, drinks and all the unmated she wolves” 

Mom rolls her eyes and says “Apparently your brother wants to find his mate ASAP” I roll my eyes back at my mom because that's all this kid has talked about for the last year! Thank the Goddess he wasn't like most young male wolves. He was actually saving himself for his mate. It's got to be hard for him.The way all the she-wolves throw themselves at him. He's going to be Alpha one day, and every she wolf wants him hoping for the chance to be Luna. Rob is always saying “My mate is the only one who'll be Luna.” Don't get me wrong, he had girlfriends. Nothing was too serious, because my brother knew the mate bond would overthrow any relationship. 

So I brought out what my Uncle and Father requested, then I went back inside to my mom and aunt. “So Ava-Marie, what are you thinking for this party?” my Aunt Rose asked. 

I started tapping my chin as I thought about it. All of a sudden it was like I had a vision. “What about fairy lights lighting up the backyard? With Tiki torches all around the pool and lade area. Various tables and tents set up. One for drinks, one for dancing, one for food, gifts, and cake. And tables where people will eat scattered between. The stage in the center where everyone will see Rob and I shift. And let's do it masquerade style! Everyone dresses up and wears a mask!”

“Well then I guess it's all planned out then! You've thought about this a lot haven't you?” mom asks. 

“No actually it was just what came to me, it was like I had a vision and that is what I saw. ``I answered. My mom and aunt gave each other this weird look. But I brushed it off because this is going to be the best weekend ever and i didn't want anything getting in the way of that. “ Well the whole thing sounds beautiful! Well go to town in the morning and get some things! How does that sound?” my aunt asks. “YES!!! A girls day! We can even grab lunch while we're out!” my mother adds. “Sounds perfect to me.” I said.

After about an hour or so my uncle starts ringing this huge cow bell, yelling “DINNER TIME!” All the pack members that were eating at the pack house started to show up. It seemed like these people were coming out of nowhere how fast ever one showed up. Everyone helped out. They were pulling tables and chairs together to make a huge table on the property that everyone can sit and eat at. It all came together in what seemed like seconds. The Females all piled into the kitchen to start bringing out what was made inside. They were bringing out tray after tray of food

There was macaroni salad, potato salad, regular salad, coleslaw, roasted potatoes, green beans, mac and cheese and so much more I couldn't keep up. Their food was set up on a table that served as a buffet table. It's easier doing it that way because of how many pack members there were. My brothers and their buddies were first in line for food. Typical boys. 

When I get up there everything looks so good my mouth is watering. I know I'm going to make at least 2 trips up to this table. So this planet doesn't need to be so full. My first plate holds potato salad, mac salad, ribs, a piece of chicken and a burger. Wolves have an extremely high metabolism and need thousands of calories to not only feed themselves but their wolves too. More so for the younger wolves like myself who have never shifted before. We need to stay fed and healthy so wolves are strong enough for shifting. 

Shifting is not an easy task when it's your first time. My mother told me that what happens first is your wolf will say hello and introduce themselves. Then they will coach you through how to shift for the first time. She also told me that it does get easier with every shift after that. I was making sure that I did everything I could to make my first shift as easy as possible. 

Heading back up to the food table to make my second plate I grabbed a hot dog, some green beans, regular salad and potatoes. Half way through my second plate my father stands up tapping his glass. Oh Goddess that means my dads going to give a speech. Everyone quiets down because they also know what is about to happen. My father starts “ Thank you all for quieting down. First off i would like to thank Alpha Brian, my brother in law for opening his home and land up to us. And to my sister Luna Rose for helping us to put a party together to celebrate our oldest twins Ava-Marie and Rob who are not only turning 18 but also finding their wolves and having their first shift. Everything you all are doing is greatly appreciated. We could never thank you enough. And to Ava-Marie and Rob, we have a surprise for you that is going to be at your party. I would like to also give thanks to Alpha Brian and Luna Rose for help with that to.” 

My aunt and uncle both nodded in the direction of my mother and father. That was a sign of thank you or your welcome. 

Now my mind is pondering what this surprise my fathers talk about is. I know what I'll do, I'll ask my mother. She'll know! But right now, I'm going to finish eating! Once I was done eating I wanted to get out of my bathing suit and in my jammies. It's getting late and I'm going shopping tomorrow. This is starting out so great. I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. I grab things and help bring them inside to clean up. Once I'm done I head up to my room. It's nothing special but it's mine. It's all white walls with dark blue trim, a full size bed with a canopy and  a dark blue comforter on it, with tons of pillows ( I love pillows). An end table that has a lamp, an alarm clock on it and a drawer on the right side of the bed. A dresser in front of the bed and A small window at the far end of the room, with one chair and a small side table, and a walk-in closet. Nothing close to as big as the Alphas and Lunas, but just big enough for me. There was also a bathroom in the room with your typical sink, tub and shower and toilet. My bathroom was painted this robin's egg blue. I couldn't ask for anything more. 

I pulled my drawer to the dresser open that I put my pj’s in and took them out. And went directly into the bathroom. No sooner I get the damn door closed , 3 knocks on my bedroom door. So I open the bathroom door and loudly say “who is it?” I got a reply “RC.” I sigh and respond “Come in” and he does. He sits on my bed and asks “ can I ask you something?” “Of course RC, what's up?” “I only have a few years before I have the opportunity to find my mate. How do I know if I'm going to say the right things? What do girls want or need? I want to make sure that I'm doing everything they want.”

I was shocked that my little brother was asking me for advice! But I had to answer him. I had to tell him something, so I stopped gushing over the fact that he asked for advice and thought about it for a minute. “ for one you need to be yourself. Don't be a show off and most importantly listen to her. You are not going to know what she wants or needs at the beginning. You're going to need to get to know her so take your time. There is no need to rush anything. So have patience.” He looked down at his hands, then lifted his head up, smiled at me and said “thanks sis.” and walked out. 

I turned around and went back to what I was doing. Now I'm warm and comfy! 2 things I loved! I layed in my bed and picked up my phone. I missed a few people at home. I loved being here but I do have friends and a life back home. I know I don't have many friends but I do have a few. So I sent a quick text to Melissa. She was one I've known since I was 2. We are best friends. I also had Shawn. He was the only real guy friend I had. He wasn't a creep like most guys his age. He listened and gave real advice. He had a girlfriend and her name is Dawn. They were mates but unmarked. They wanted to get to know each other first. To each their own. I've known him for 6 years and of course I had my brothers but that was really about it. I was okay with that. I’d rather have only a few true friends than lots of fake ones.  

Melissa responded first. “Hey girl! How are you?! I miss your face!” I’m so happy to hear from her. I miss her too. A lot. “”Oh yeah? I miss you girl! It's going well here, thanks for asking. I'm really having a blast. Wish you were here!” 

“Me too.” she sends and i know she is as sad as i am that she's not going to be here. “Well talk later Liss.” “Okay Hun ttys.”

Still nothing from Shawn, but that's not unlike him. I turn over and grab my fuzzy blanket and close my eyes. I'm so excited to go to sleep. I have to force myself to because I know that tomorrow is going to be a great day. I was exhausted from the 5 hour ride. I thought that sleep would take some time but it did.
