Nora stood in the middle of her ruined apartment, staring at Kieran Vane as though the words he'd just spoken belonged to someone else's nightmare, she could not move, the word YOU ARE MY MATE kept repeating itself in her mind, none of this made sense, the creature, the golden eyes, the impossible strength the glowing mark burning beneath her skin, her mother's death and now this "My what?"

Her voice came out smaller than she intended kieran didn't answer he was looking at the mark on her palm but she followed his gaze the symbol had disappeared everything seemed so strange, no pain, no glow,nothing to prove that what had happened had been real except Kieran's face.
