Prudence’s dress had dried enough to wear, and Myam was pleased when she showed up for dinner looking like a proper lady again. Prudence, however, vowed that she would find ways to incorporate pants into her wardrobe when she could. She got a taste of freedom and did not want to give it up so soon. Dinner went by uneventfully. It was filled with Dumont boasting about how he managed to find a powerful young mage like Prudence, and that the King and Queen would pour appreciation over him for delivering her to them. Prudence fought hard to keep her mouth shut and was thankful when she could return to the deck. The rest of the trip went by relatively calmly after that.
