Laura P.O.V
"I'm not the goddess. I refused to believe any of this," I roared. My iris were still purple.
"Even if you refuse you are still the goddess. Even if the images were blurry, I believe what I foresaw. I can still feel the goddess dark energy coursing through your veins. I’m sorry Laura but you have to die for the sake of the world.” Cassandra opens her hands revealing a blue fox fire flying above her palm. She wanted to kill me.
"No!" My mother yelled. She came running in, protecting me. "You can't kill my daughter."
"For the sake of the world she has to die," Cassandra spoke with pure white eyes. "I'm sorry Vanessa but as the princess of this city, I order you move out of the way even if you were the lost princess."
"I can't. She is my daughter. How can I let you kill my daughter in front of me? It is the role of every mother to protect their kid right? This what I am doing. I am protecting my daughter."
"I'm sorry," she mumbled and fired her Foxfire, but my father rushes in and knock the foxfire out of the way which destroyed the back wall. My father glares down at her with his dark red eyes. My father aura started to ignite. His anger seeped into the room. Cassandra trembles at the sight of his aura.
Then something burned on my right arm feeling as if my blood was boiling. I was seething in pain. I started to sweat and when the pain started to fade away a mark appeared on my shoulder bearing a shape of a full moon. Only then did I noticed my bloodlust beginning to fade away as my eyes and hair returned back to normal. I was panting heavily. Despite the pain, I felt some strange power surging through me. It felt good.
My mother guided me to bed. As I laid down, my mother put a blanket over me. Everybody left the room except my mother. She insisted on staying behind so my dad kissed her on the forehead and let her. My mother patted my head and used her fingers to comb through my hair. She whispered into my ears that she will go to the bathroom and get some wet towels to wipe the sweat off my body.
I winced in pain but I grinned in pleasure. My body felt raw and new as a newly born baby. I felt alive with this power like I cable of doing anything. With this profound new power, I will search for Ahri. For the first time in my life, I've never had such confidence.
Ahri P.O.V
Something bad was happening. I could feel the chills in my body. Hopefully, nothing is happening to Laura. If something were to happen, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself.
The sound of laughter spread throughout the forest. I turned to see who it was with despise. It was the demon who trapped me in here.
"Hello Ahri," he said tiredly. He slapped his mouth as he yawned. "I had the greatest dream last night. I dreamed that a girl... Umm, what's her name again?" He acted like he had forgotten something, but to be reminded a few moments later. "Oh, yeah, I remembered how it's Laura. She is the goddess who fell into oblivion. There were signs showing that the goddess is starting to awaken, gradually taking over her body."
"Laura is not the goddess. How many times do I have to tell you she isn't the goddess."
"Oh but she is," he grinned. "Didn't you feel the goddess aura rising? Wasn't it cold and empty aura you felt just now." I was shocked. How does he know? "You can't hide things from me lovely Ahri. I know things you don't understand and the sole reason I was assigned to guard you."
"Who are you? Who is your master?" I demanded. "I am the daughter of Heath, the elder who controlled the Earth. I demanded you to tell the name of your master."
"No, I'm sorry. I can't say it. It is a secret, but I can give you a hint. He is also an elder, a previous elder of-"
"Of what?" I intercepted.
"Of. Oh, I'm not telling you, but then, I can give you a hint. You should beware of him. He is not a kind elder instead he wants to destroy this world."
"I demand you to tell me who he is."
"You demand me?" his handsome face suddenly turned vicious. He walked towards me and grabbed my face making me looked into his voidless eyes. "No one demands me but my master alone. You, Ahri, should be grateful that you’re not dead yet. Consider yourself lucky. My master is not a kind man, so you better sit here and wait for your beloved Laura to come to rescue you. We would love to see you fall in love with her and get your life force to suck away while the earth gets destroyed."
"You will not get away with this," I spat him in the face.
"Oh but I already did." He let out a sinister laugh and disappeared into thin air with his raven wings.
I bawled my eyes out as I dropped to the ground. I did not want this to happen and don't want Laura to get hurt. I feel so cold. I wish Laura was here beside me. Damn, I’ve already fallen in love with her. Why does this have to happen? Why am I cursed to be killed by my own beloved sister's hands? I hate myself. I being powerless. I wanted to die.
