We arrived home late in the afternoon from shopping, and it was glorious. I played the dutiful mate, carrying all the shopping bags while my darling, Mom, and Emily made fun of me. There were a few playful grumbles that came from me and some odd questions from my mate, but I loved it. She was smiling and laughing with my family, which nearly made me run into a pole. And, the best part, one of the omegas with us tried to take a few bags out of my hands. Kieran growled at her and took them. Then, I took them from her. It became a grab fest that ended with us laughing at how silly we were being.
