Sophie remained completely still, but she was unraveling on the inside. She pulled back from him slowly and stood alone apart from him. The crowd noise carried on around them like nothing just happened. She looked at him. "Two weeks ago," she said. "Yes." Her eyebrow quivered slightly. "And you're telling me now." Louis held her gaze. "I needed to confirm it first." Something moved through her eyes, and then it was gone. She nodded and turned towards her car.
