The first claim

544 Words
Kaelen’s hands trembled at his sides, and he hated himself for it. Every nerve screamed for Lyra, every instinct begged him to take what the bond had promised long before his mind could deny it. And yet, anger burned hotter than desire, sharp and vicious. “Lyra,” he growled, voice low and dangerous, “you make me lose all control.” She lifted her chin, unwavering, even as the pull of the bond made her knees weak. “Then stop fighting it,” she whispered, her voice like a challenge. “Stop pretending you can resist what we were born to have.” Kaelen’s wolf snarled in agreement. His eyes darkened, feral and unyielding. He stepped toward her, each movement a warning and a promise. “You think you understand, little Omega? You have no idea what it will cost you… what it will cost me.” Her pulse raced, but she didn’t back down. “I am yours, Kaelen. Even if you hate me. Even if you fight me.” That was the spark. That defiance, that courage, that reckless insistence—Kaelen snapped. The world narrowed, the moonlight dimmed, and nothing existed but her scent, her warmth, and the bond pulsing like molten fire between them. He seized her wrist, pulling her close, and for the first time, he didn’t hesitate. His lips hovered near hers, brushing her ear, his voice rough with need. “You will not make me gentle,” he growled. “I warned you.” Lyra shivered, but she didn’t pull away. Her hand pressed against his chest, steady and sure despite the quiver in her spine. “I don’t want gentle,” she whispered. “I want you. All of you.” His hands roamed, claiming, testing boundaries, gripping her waist as if to tether himself from completely losing control. Desire, fury, and possession collided inside him, hot and dangerous. “You are mine, Lyra,” he hissed, voice low and feral. “And I—” He broke off, pressing his forehead to hers, both of them trembling in the pull of the bond. The primal need was unbearable, but he still fought it, still demanded her obedience even as his body betrayed him. Lyra tilted her face, brushing her lips against his jaw, testing the barrier he still maintained. “Take me,” she whispered, breathless. “You can’t deny me anymore.” Kaelen growled low in his throat, his wolf roaring in triumph and frustration all at once. He hated her. He wanted her. He wanted to punish her for making him lose control, yet every part of him ached to claim her fully. And in the silver glow of the moon, he did. Not gently. Not kindly. But with every ounce of feral need, every thread of control shattered, Kaelen marked her, pulled her against him, and let the bond finally roar to life between Alpha and Omega. Lyra gasped, heart racing, body trembling—but she did not resist. Not anymore. She was his. And for the first time, Kaelen did not fight it. Even as he tried to bury his fury beneath desire, deep down he knew one truth that terrified him more than anything: this was only the beginning.
