I walked outside smelling breakfast. It smells so delicious. The only guy who can make a decent breakfast is my man. I should know after all, the amount of times the team have been away. Nathan can only do eggs, his toast can never be salvaged. Gemma tries but she ends up burning everything.
I walked into the kitchen noticing Jamie all on his own. I don’t think he heard me come in. I tiptoed to him and wrapped my arms around his chest, kissing his back.
“Hey beautiful.”
“Hey,” I said softly. “Where’s everyone else?”
“Still in bed. Abbie had to leave though.”
“Why?” I asked puzzled. Has he told her already?
“She got a phone call late last night. Her mother’s been rushed to hospital, so she got a taxi early this morning to get the first train.”
“Oh. I hope she’ll be okay.”
I’m sorry to hear about her mum but I’m glad she’s not here. We might have a more relaxing day. I couldn’t stand one more day looking at her. Especially after my encounter with Jamie last night. At least now I can do whatever I want with him. The others already know about us. I don’t have to sneak around to see him. It’s going to be bliss.
He turned around in my arms, cupping my face in his hands, leaning down towards me. His lips hovering near my own. He finally took my lips like they were his property. They are so his and no one else's. Just as I was getting into his embrace, he stopped.
“Tease!”
He laughed, turning back to his cooking. I sat at the table watching him work his magic. He looked over his shoulder smiling at me. He is so handsome, I can’t help but stare at this perfect man right in front of me.
“I can feel you staring.”
“I’m just enjoying the view.”
“Oh you are, are you?” he said coming towards me, leaning down kissing me.
“Put her down!” Nathan declared as they all seem to waltz into the kitchen, “you’re lucky it was me first. What if Abbie was to walk in?”
“She wouldn’t. She left early this morning. Her mum’s in hospital.”
“Oh right. It’s a good job she’s not here really!”
“Nathan!” Zoe said slapping his shoulder.
“What? The sooner Jamie dumps her the better. She’s never been right for him. She’s not nice. We all know who is better for him, even if it has taken him this long to realise.”
“I know! I’ve been an i***t. But at least I’ve noticed now,” he said smiling at me.
I stood up to him. “Yes it did take him a while, but he’s my i***t,” I smiled, kissing him on the cheek, “now can we eat please?”
We all grabbed a plate and piled it up with the delicious food Jamie had prepared. There wasn’t enough room on the table so I ended up sitting in Jamie’s lap, feeding him and as well as myself.
“Is this what it’s going to be like when you two are officially together?” Ben asked.
“What do you mean?”
“Sickly!” he laughed, “it’s Gemma I feel sorry for, having to live with you.”
“Hey! I’ve had it with her and George. I think it’s about time I get my man and have some fun,” I declared wiping a bit of food from the side of his mouth.
He gripped me tighter to him as we finished breakfast. It was nice sitting with everyone. Laughing together. We saw what time it was and realised we best get ready for the last day of the festival and headed out half an hour later.
***
This day couldn’t get any better. It has been thee best day ever! Again the music acts were incredible but the day was a lot better as I had my man all to myself. Plus he was able to win me a couple of prizes from the fair. But as usual something had to happen. It’s never straight forward when it comes to us. Abbie rang Jamie halfway through the day, saying she doesn’t think her mum is going to be here much longer. I don’t want to sound like a heartless b***h but I don’t care about her. She’s made me so miserable. I didn’t want to speak about it there and then, which Jamie agreed with me. So when we arrived back to the apartment it all happened at once. That’s it for us. I can’t keep waiting for us to happen.
He felt like he couldn’t do it to Abbie, not while all of this is happening with her mother. He said he will when the time is right. But when is the time ever going to be right. He doesn’t want to hurt her even more than she already is. I can see his point but it’s best to rip the bandage off now while she is hurting, rather than hurt her again later on. She doesn’t need someone around her who doesn’t love her and stringing her along. He didn’t get where I was coming from though. I couldn’t stand being there any longer, knowing he would be there. It hurt too much so I packed my things up and left. At this very moment I am walking to the train station, hoping I can get the last train seeing as they put on more trains seeing as it was the last night of the festival. I should really ring Gemma. I got my phone out of my pocket and rang her. She picked up within one ring.
“Where the hell are you? I’m worried sick!”
“I’m fine Gem. I’m heading to the train station to catch the last train. I’ll be home in a few hours. I can’t be around him at the minute. It hurts too much.”
“He’s told us. He’s going mental here. At least message him to tell him you’re safe please before he goes insane with worry.”
All of a sudden, I heard him in the background asking if that was me on the phone and asking Gemma if he can talk to me, but before he could get to the phone I hung up. I’m not ready. Just hearing his voice then hurt. I need time to cool off before I say something I regret because I’m hurting so much.
I got to the station with ten minutes to spare but before I reached the entrance, I heard someone shout my name. I knew exactly who it was and I froze, not being able to move from where I was stood.
“Please don’t get on that train.”
“Why shouldn’t I Jamie?”
“Because if you love me, you won’t leave me.”
“You can’t do that to me. You’re the one putting us on hold. I just can’t do that. Not anymore. It hurts too much.”
“I’m not putting us on hold. We can still see each other.”
“Yeah secretively. That’s not what I want Jamie. I want us to be public. I can’t do all this sneaking around.”
“Please, just come back so we can talk about this out of the rain. At least stay until the morning when Gemma can come back home with you. I don’t want you on your own. Not in the dark.”
“I’ll be fine. Nick can come and pick me up from the station.”
“No. I need you.”
I just stood there in the rain. Not able to move but I could hear Jamie walking over to me slowly. He grabbed me and spun me around into his warmth embrace. I just broke down. There always seems to be some obstacle in our way.
“I’m sorry. I don’t want to hurt you but I also don’t want to hurt Abbie.”
“You can’t have it both ways Jamie. You are going to hurt one of us either way so it is best to get it over with. You need to decide what you want.”
“I want you!”
“Do something about it then!”
He did. He pulled me in closer, lifting my chin towards him. He lingered around my lips, but finally embraced me and I couldn’t help but let him in. He kissed me that hard that I knew there and then that he really did love me and he didn’t want to lose me. He meant every word he said about me. I just hope he does something. I’m not waiting forever. We kissed which seemed like forever, dripping wet from the rain. The water reminding me of our previous encounter we had, that I would like repeated.
“Come back, please?”
I looked up at him and I could see the fear in the beautiful blueness of his eyes. I nodded.
“Looks like I’ve missed my train anyway. We need to stop the way we have these moments too. I can’t have too many wet clothes in my bag,” I laughed.
He smiled at me and took my suitcase from my hand, placing his other hand on my back guiding me to the apartment.
“Don’t do that to me again. I was so worried when you wasn’t answering my texts or calls.”
“I’m sorry. I was angry and I didn’t want to say something to you and regret it later.”
“We okay now?”
“Hmm...I think you have got some more grovelling to do.”
“I have, do I?” he asked deciding to chase me back to the apartment.
We got to the front door when he grabbed me, turning me to face him. He pushed me against the door and I wrapped my arms around his neck. We gave each other little pecks before Jamie lifts me over his shoulder.
“Jamie put me down!”
“Nope. Not until you forgive me fully!”
“I forgive you!”
“Don’t believe it.”
I heard him open the front door. He pushed my new suitcase into the hallway and continued towards my bedroom. I didn’t have time to say hi to the guys as we walked past them in the lounge, so I just waved as they came out of the room.
“I guess you’re okay then?” Gemma shouted.
“I will be once Jamie puts me down.”
I felt a little pat on my arse as we were getting closer to my bedroom.
“You’re not going anywhere!”
“Sorry Gem,” I shouted as Jamie shut the bedroom door with his foot. He chucked me onto the bed, with him hovering above me. He kissed me all over my body. Lifting my top up kissing me softly on my stomach, gradually moving up towards the edge of my breasts, teasing me with his tongue.
“Jamie…”
I could feel his smile on me as he came up to my lips. His touch is so warm. He makes me want more. I feel safe when he’s around me. He tugged my shorts off so quick that I couldn’t resist him to try to make him squirm. I lifted my feet up to his chest to stop him from going any further.
“I don’t think so pal. If I’m stripping, so are you,” I smirked, looking at him seductively.
With no hesitation, he took off his t-shirt and undid his belt. I teased him by trying to pull his trousers down with my toes, stroking his v-line as I reached for them.
“Tease!”
“Two can play that game!”
That’s when he pounced on me. I laughed so hard at him, more so when he started to tickle me, kissing my neck, making me tingle all over.
“Okay, okay. I give in!”
“Yeah you do,” he grinned at me, “I love you.”
“I love you too. Now come here handsome.”
We had the most passionate s*x ever. We just did it all night. We just forgot about anything and everyone around us. I’ve never felt this amazing in my whole life. Feeling him inside of me, knowing I’m the one he wants, is insane. I can’t believe after all this time crushing on him, I finally have him in my arms. We’ve had a lot of ups and downs, but once he’s done what he needs to with Abbie, we can finally be free to be together, with no obstacles in our way.
I slowly opened my eyes the next morning to the face of the most amazing man I have ever seen. He’s so handsome, even more so when he’s sleeping. Suddenly a smile appeared on his face.
“I can feel you staring.”
“And why wouldn’t I. I have the most amazing man next to me. I could get use to this,” I said stealing a kiss while he wasn’t fully functioning.
He grabbed hold of me and pulled me in closer. I buried my head into his chest, smelling his aroma which was so mesmerizing. He’s like my very own heaven. He kissed the top of my head and wrapped his legs around me.
“I could definitely get use to this,” he whispered.
“Only today. After today you can wait until the Abbie situation is sorted.”
“I’ll have to make the most of today then,” he said flipping me onto my back. “Have I told you how gorgeous you are?”
“No. I don’t think you have.”
“You are gorgeous. Absolutely stunning and I can’t believe you’re all mine. I don’t want to go back to work yet!”
“When?”
“Next week.”
“So soon? It’s not fair. I’ve only just got you. For real this time. Well you will have to hurry then. We are not doing anything until you speak with Abbie. It’s not fair on her.”
“I know. You will still have me when I come back. I promise. Here take this!”
He slid off his ring that he got from college and placed it on my right hand.
“Have this with you at all times. That way, no matter where I am, I’m always with you.”
I caressed his cheek and pulled him to meet my lips.
“Thank you,” I whispered.
“We should really get ready. We have to be out by ten.”
“Okay. Meet me in the shower?”
“You don’t have to ask me twice.”
We all got ready and headed to the train station. I’m not ready to go home back to reality of working and not seeing my man. But at least I have one more day off work.
“What are you doing tomorrow?”
“Dress shopping. We need to find some bridesmaids dresses.”
“Sounds fun. Mind if I meet you a bit later?”
“Tag a long Jamie. We could use a man’s perspective. Plus you can drool over your girlfriend,” Zoe teased.
“Yeah I think I will. I need to spend as much time with her as possible before I deploy next week,” he grinned leaning in for a kiss.
“Aww, aren’t you guys cute together? I’m happy for you both. It’s about time you realise how much of a wonderful woman she is.”
“That she is.”
I couldn’t help but smile all the way home.
